Makoy, A simple but realistic house. It supplies what he needs and it is low cost. It is amazing what they can construct and make it livable. He had a nice farm there to go with the house. I liked your partner at the end there! He was just all smiles. He looked happy and contented to be just sitting beside you.

Cagayan Valley Isabela and Beyond Hello mate, yeah he did a good job with just what was available around him, that was his son at the end, a happy lad!

The family don't need to go to the market. They got everything, from vegetables, fruits, and livestock. Nipa hut roof is really good on the summer. It leaves the house cool all the time. Thanks mark.

awesome to be able to get a free house with no red tape involved to stop this and that. I love the freedom of the Philippines so much. A hard but happy lifestyle. Take care mate.

This reminds me of my 2 brothers building their own house! Most people who lives in the province knows how to build similar house like that one. .. Nice cool house .. Only disadvantage with the roof like that is, if someone is drunk and accidentally throw their cigarette on it, it will get caught by fire easily.. Nice video, amping.
@MakoyUnggoy7 жыл бұрын
Glory Mcnay Salamat Glory, yeah make sure your cooking doesn't get out of control either or the roof has gone again, amping permi!

what a coincedence..i just builded one in mindanao for my girl..the hut only lacks a door still lol. one issue is the coconutleaf roof needs to be replaced every like 3 months. better to put a plastic roof of course.i paid 800 pesos for her complete hut.
@MakoyUnggoy7 жыл бұрын
p tm 800 Pesos? That's crazy cheap!
@ThisisOurPhilippines7 жыл бұрын
p tm, We used a nippa roof on our store. We put it on in 2015. It survived for two years. We changed it out this year after it was damaged in the massive CAT 5 typhoon we had last year. The roof survived, but there was a few leaks. Interestingly enough, we just covered the nippa with a tin roof. We saw this in a resort we visited. The nippa keeps the inside cooler like a sheet of insulation. So far so good with it all. The cost you might ask... Well for a 5X6 meter roof, we spent 17K on it for the tin and gutters to go on it. This was the pre painted tin. Yeah, that is a little more expensive than just the nippa, but it should last a lot longer as well.
