Fabulous work Paul Great idea using the duck tape for the ridging tiles Iam sure you used that on a earlier projct as I was wanting to do the same trick on a recent build but could not find where i haf seen it i was sure it was one of your videos anyway ended up using masking tape fot my ridges. Keep up all the good work all the best Pete

The masking tape should work just as well Peter although perhaps a little less tacky. Paul

Brilliant. I would have thought that duct tape was too thick, but, once again, I am wrong! And I have just (last night) installed that same wood flooring in a station building - it's getting the Paul treatment! - even though you wont be able to see much of it.

You can barely see the flooring in the box either but I know it’s there. That’s all that matters to me. 😆 Paul

I really do admire your painting techniques Paul. That floor looks very realistic. The duct tape is inspired also. The signal box will be the next build for me. I think I have nearly everything I need, including a kit for making the steps at N gauge. I hope to start work in about a week's time. Stephen
@GalgormHall4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Stephen, I know most signal boxes would have had a plain floor but for me the wooden one does look much better. I can’t wait to see your signal box build. A kit for the steps will make things much easier to do, particularly in n gauge, I’ll be starting mine at the weekend. Paul

Brilliant stuff, Paul. Glad to see the finer uses of duct tape have continued on! The interior kit looks amazing- you painted it up. The wooden floor was the true masterpiece- a simple trick. I would always just dab various browns on the flooring boards and them smear them and thought it looked good, but yours really are superb. Cheers!

Wonderful job Paul, the interior looks fantastic! Have you considered using copper foil "Slug barrier tape" instead of Duck Tape for the capping stones? It's an idea I have had in mind to use in the future, but not actually tried it out myself yet!, but I think it should work quite well. You can get it from most Garden and DIY Centres. Take care and stay safe mate, now go wash your friggin' hands, again! lol ...Cheers. Les.

Hello I'm checking out your channel on a suggestion from Schuylkill River Valley ( John ) . Outstanding job on the building . It's almost a shame to put a roof over it . Are they oil paints you used on the floor ? Thanks for sharing and look forward to learning more . Take care . Jerry
@GalgormHall4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jerry, thank you for visiting and commenting. The roof will be removable so the viewer can get an occasional glimpse of the interior. The flooring was painted using enamel paints by Humbrol, Revell and Airfix. Hope that helps. Paul
