Good video as always. I'm not clear on one thing: Why the two separate IP's one on FPP and another for Xlights. I thought they had to be the same? When I'm actually running a sequence directly from Xlights or just on my show network, would I use the same address?

Great video!! Everything is working but I have version 2021.02 64 bit XLights and it does not seem to be too different. One issue I have and cannot figure out is when the butterfly sequence is played on the panels. I have 2 panels not 4 and did adjust accordingly in both XLights and FPP. When the butterfly plays the first 8 horizontal pixels are doing exactly what they are supposed to do from top right to the bottom left. The next 8 rows of pixels are going in an opposite direction (left to right), and then alternates for the next set of 8 rows of pixels (which would be the correct way) and the last 8 rows of pixels the opposite way. Any idea?? Thanks!!

If you're only wanting a couple of of pixels strings, this could be run directly from the raspberry pi: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKG7iYRvr7Wir9U for more than this you'll need a seperate controller

Great video!! Except, while every thing worked as described, when I create a sequence in xLights and dropped the Butterfly effect, it looks as expected on the sequence preview but nothing shows up on the FPP when I SEQUENCE/PLAY?? Have I missed a step somewhere??

Did you enable output to lights (light bulb, right hand end of the toolbar)?

Yep. Also "rendered". Do I need to "upload output"? If so, I'll need to change the IP address to the Rpi to 192.168.254.43 (this is what FPP reports when setting the FPP up).

@@mikeridgley5214 make sure the IP address iof the controller in xLights matches that of the Pi

@@gregmacaree It is. When I have the FPP page up and run tests I get the desired results on the panel. When all is saved and I start the FPP, load the fseq file, it displays fine on the Sequence tab in xLights, but shows nothing thru the Rpi FPP......

@@mikeridgley5214 It could be one of many things, without seeing your config, i'm afraid i cant assist further. Can i suggest you join one of the xLights zoom sessions where one of the regulars will be able to assist. I'm often to be found in the EU one....
