The fact that your Channel and videos don't have thousands more views and subscribers is mind boggling to me. You have great content and an amazing collection that you share with everyone. I hope your channel continues to grow into something huge.

I think if there was a bigger collecting community in Australia it would work out better, more people sharing stuff around, etc. I think thats why the Seattle scene gets more love.

That's because the channel keeps being wiped. The channel has been here for YEARS and the older videos and such were really good too. Hard to know why so much old content has been removed though. Also it seems in the last few months of content it was all taken off and re-uploaded. Though all the use of copyrighted music can't help matters.

Loving these vlog files! The excitement & enthusiasm is great to watch & always keep waiting as to what will happen next. Congrats on your new PC and I'm sure you will get many tips from the experts, one tip from my side would to to get a DVD drive as, 1) You will be able to play all the box games you have. 2) Since your internet is spotty, you will have the option of buying a physical copy of the game. Keep it up!

Awesome stuff Joel. Now you've got the PC it's time for room scale VR. And if you like driving games then you'll love them in VR, they are just epic. I'm hoping that you hook up a Vive or Rift to the simulator. It blew me away the first time I played a driving game in VR and I'm not a particularly massive fan of the genre.

i've had PC's forever but just built my first dedicated gaming rig this past november around the launch of GOW4. I got both the XB1 version and the PC version to compare and the PC version is obviously superior, but I had to see it for myself. Now that I can play horde in 1080p / 60 fps I will never go back to console gaming unless it's the only way to play the game (like all my retro stuff). PC gaming is a true revelation. GOW4 at 30fps felt like i was playing in slo-mo. Never going back!!!

yah shoulda just got the top spec man, technology changes fast for pc stuff i7 processor is minimum for any application don't know why they sold you an i5 for - infact if you install windows on your Mac Pro and booted into windows on that you'd already have a awesome PC to play this game on with DUAL video cards, SSD and pro level processors - should try this and benchmark it against the PC you just bought, I just installed windows on my 2008 mac pro to run a 3D modelling and animation app I use with an old quadro FX card I'm now tempted to install Forza on this and see what performance I get out of it - can that serial number allow download to PC as well as Xbox ??
@LastGamer

Aldrich Quai Hoi I said at the start. I don't want to go to hardcore. i7 is more for rendering
@AldrichQuaiHoi
@AldrichQuaiHoi 7 жыл бұрын
Nah man thats baloney if they told you that about i5/i7 as you know I used to work in a 3D animation company modeling / rendering etc. ask Alvin if you dont believe me he's been a " PC Master Race gamer " since I bought him his first PC, on his current gaming rig when he built it he spent the money on the processors and video cards the most crucial bits, the rest of the stuff it dont matter like HD / Ram etc, I still reckon your Mac Pro booted into windows will run rings around that PC though - try it man that would be interesting and I wanna see a comparison on it ! What video cards you got in the Mac Pro anyway ? Twin Fire GL D700's ??

So are the arcades also included in the ultimate games room, or don't you have the space for that, or are they in another room adjacent to this one? Also, you mentioned a cinema room, does that mean you also have a collection of vhs, dvd, bluray and all the other formats that were produced in the past decades or did I misinterpret that one?

It is an acceptable build. Sure there is always more, which is what it is all about in the PC world. 4K is not truly 'here' yet. That will be your next build in a year or two. Now...try hooking it to your projector and the sound in the theatre room...if the projector can handle it then you will have a whole new experience...

PC gaming is going to end up being way deeper of a rabbit hole than you signed up for. If you want to really do things right, you should look into getting a G-sync monitor... and then, you'll probably head back for a 1080. And then, you'll realize that the PC kinda needs its own separate setup, and you'll want to give it its own set of speakers, you'll want a mechanical keyboard, a dedicated controller and arcade stick, etc. It never ends.

About time, tho i would of gone a little higher on the specs just so you have some room to go bigger when you need to. 1070/1080, i7. just that little extra grunt if you want to do streaming in the future.

Yeah, I found it a little strange that the shop he went to, talked him down from having more expensive (and obviously better) equipment. I would have gone for a 1080 and an i7 as well, without hesitation. His only question should have been, should I go for 2 1080s (in SLI) or just the 1.
@ZaireXIII
@ZaireXIII 7 жыл бұрын
It's Australia...their internet issues alone would make streaming problematic. Though I was surprised it wasn't an i7 at least and a 1080 for sure. Yet for 1080p gaming it's a fine system. Can't imagine waiting 3 days to download 50gigs...yikes.

If you loved the graphics of Forza Horizon 3 at 1080p/60fps wait until you play it at 2160p/60fps on an HDR Premium rated TV; it will totally floor you. Unfortunately you'll need to go all out and get a 1080ti. Probably need an i7 too if you want to do streaming or video capture on the PC. PC gaming can be intoxicating but it sucks a lot out of your wallet. Luckily you seem to have pretty deep pockets so that upgrade shouldn't hurt too much.
@PsimanUK
@PsimanUK 7 жыл бұрын
leeboy2k1 I agree distance from the screen is definitely a factor and will conceded that the noticeable difference between 1080p and 2160p is not as great as that between 480p and 1080p, but it's not tosh. On the size of screen Joel uses and his proximity to them there is an appreciable difference in graphical sharpness and fidelity. The added cost of getting there might not seem worth it to you but for people like Joel, who don't have to worry so much about money, it might be something they are willing to fork out for. My current gaming PC can play most newer titles at 30fps but I much prefer to play games at 1080p because higher frame rates and smooth controller response are much more important to me. However, I would love to play games in 4K at high frame rates but I can't afford the £700 it would cost to maintain the locked 60fps that I prefer at the moment.
