Crainer, you should get a spyglass. It fits the pirate theme and you could see things clearer from further away. You need copper and amethyst shards. You collected the shards when you were mining the amethyst, and there was copper on the wall on the way down to the cave.

The fun thing is, there is a specialised PIRATE FONT built-in inside of Minecraft. It is called "The Seven Seas" or "Pirate speak" or something similar. To get it you go to SETTINGS>LANGUAGE then select the font. The words are pretty pirate-ey

I have a suggestion for a home for polly, you could extend the skull more like the what was used for the thumbnail and put all sorts of trees, dirt, grass, waterfall, glowstone/torches as a light source with the path leading to your home going through it.
