Ken FYI.......Before you spray the track, run a thin bead of chap-stick along the rail tops and spray away. Easy then to wipe the rail paint tops off. Cheers....Alex K.

Never thought about using my nails to clear ballast stuck to the rail--I tried it yesterday and it worked well! Thanks for sharing these tips! This is why I love watching these programs.

Thank you Ken. It is so great that we have people like you to do such quality videos on techniques and I learn something every time even at 62! (i.e. the nscale joiners! on code 70 HO track!) I enjoy each one and while I usually never comment I had to this time because you need to know how much these sort of informative and real videos mean to hobbyists like me. Thank you..can't wait for more.

Best weights I have found are cans of soup of vegetables. Set them on their sides and let the track hold them in place. The track will keep the cans from rolling off.

Love the concrete section! I'm working on a small switching layout that needs this kind of surface. Seeing the final shoot module though, I can see the concrete surface isn't as smooth as I would've hoped for; too much visible texture for my liking. Is there an added step to get a smoother finish? Thanks.

The yard diorama is just outstanding! So real! It looks like we had @ my employment. Chrysler Fenton, Missouri. The Roka Models are very nice! I model Missouri Pacific Railroad from 50's, 60's, & 70's. I always look forward to the new items from Bachmann. Thank You! I always love the runby's! Thanks Ken! Nice! You showed some great techniques I willlikely apply to my layout. In fact, leaving the cracked concrete and gouging some potholes would make for some very authentic Michigan street running. Thanks for showing the technique.

I bet it's a tough choice as a manufacturer of large scale to decide between 1:32 and 1:29. I'm so glad they chose 1:29, as the Charles Ro/USA Trains was my choice a decade ago. I'm surprised they made that choice, but very happy they did. (Please, Bachmann, remember to put the scale in your ads for large scale items, as it's very helpful for us old timers, and vital for a new guy. Thanks.)

I like to use DAP 230 in Brown when laying down any cork and track, then there is no chance of any of the clear or white showing through from other DAP products.

I love the Dap230 clear latex caulk, too. I've used it for years, and built and rebuilt a few layouts, recycling the track. You don't need much, it holds the track securely, and the track comes right up by sliding a knife under it when you need to make changes. People say CopyDex is another good adhesive, but I've never used it.

come hit me with a stick to finish it... it's like building a 16 x 8 layout in Ho Scale with all the detail... Normal building for enjoyment could take 2 years and only 1 hour on video. add to that a weekly podcast edit and a monthly edit for WN.. I have discovered my limit in time available as i date and form a new relationship for life.. I'll make it work. at 57 years old i can compete,,, still.... KP

I know Right.. It scares me as well as i have not built a scene or a mode and run a train on my layout in the past year since my divorce. it's a mental work in progress as i am still in court with the X.. Gets in the way of modeling as usual... The day will come and The n scale layout will get done.
