I don't like being an armchair person but I'm going to do this more out of trying to help. You've got the right concept. It's the material that you're using to print the parts out of. Movie special effects we're done with a rubberized material and something along the lines of foam latex. Look up how they made movie special effects in the 80s and 90s to get an idea what materials they used for stuff like this so they could film scenes with it. It was painted look like metal but was usually rubberized materials I'm pretty sure they have something similar that can be used with a 3D printer

Polyurethane foam is what they used (it's still used now). The exact ingredients can vary, but it's mostly made from petrochemicals and water. It's the same stuff foam mattresses are made from, but it can be hard, soft or in-between, depending on how it's made. I don't work in the industry, but I do get to occasionally meet people who do, as part of my work. One of the special effects people who worked on Alien 3 did a live demo of it at Comic Con once, too. I spoke to him a few times at his workshop, bothering him with too many questions. lol

If you 3D print NEGATIVE molds, you can (after waxing the inside as a release agent) powder the inside with graphite and then spray truck bedliner to cast out of almost indestructible urethane. That’s how the martian movie spacesuits were made. Graphite in the gelcoat helps make a metallic undercoat for paint

Been printing the same model myself at a little smaller then accual human size (not for a robot), but it takes a lot of time and money for the fillaments. I have put it on hold for now because i'm working on a R2D2 robot right now (takes a lot of time and money as well lol).

That's mankind as I know it! From all the Si-Fi movies it absolutely had to be The Terminator that becomes reality! Things seriously add up here... Just wondering how many years or months we've got left until someone flips a switch that puts SkyNet in control and it quickly escalates and gets out of control. Have we reached the 'great barrier' right here and now and destruction of all human life is imminent?! Seems in the military they're working REALLY hard to make it happen. ABSOLUTELY the fuckin most terrifying helloween gimmick EVER!! And way too close to becoming real! Serious horror stuff!
