Are the magnets on the speakers not powerful enough to make the ferrofluid move ?
@CircuitdelicLaboratory
@CircuitdelicLaboratory 6 ай бұрын
I got it to work with some modes with the remote. But I have it output from my mixing board. It never responds to the music. The only time it moves as these canned movements programmed into the the remote. No matter what I try I can’t get it to move to the music I input. 99.9% there. Great tutorial. I’m sure I am doing something wrong.

This won’t work without amplifying the audio signal. I literally used everything in this video and it worked but only if the volume is maxed out. Fix this by using a class d amp before the led controller. Also use a mosfet before the magnet for higher current.

I was looking for this build everywhere! I've seen the original one selling for 300! and ofc I think thats overpriced, I plan to build this and customise it on my own...do you think perhaps suspending the ferrofluid in thicker oil would give it an antigravity effect and slow its decent to the bottom of the glass? .... or just a bigger electromagnetic would be able to do that?

@@QuietNerd The pre made you bought is that one with cost $70? I saw somewhere on website same size like yours in blue or gold color. Not so cheap ... Also people talking about salty water or pure vodka to avoid stained glass. I have not try yet but better to try before buy this $70 bottle. I agree it has fast motion and goes down faster. It needs something in the water to make it heavier. Finally I want ask how your project not needs arduino? This music controller you have doing the work? I choose your way to avoid code and arduino.. Where to buy this controller?

If you could provide a written list of all electronic components used and their cost it would be so helpful and very much appreciated! Great Video! Looks like such a fun DIY project that I wouldn’t even want to buy one if they are even cheaper😅. I plan to buy some old wooden speakers from a thrift store to give it that old time retro look but with the futuristic effect of the ferrofluid.. think it’ll be a nice contrast😊
