That's the second part of my shortwave transmitter. It still needs some improvements and I have to add audio modulation. So there will be a part 3 eventually. _____ Follow me on Twitter: Sc...

Okay, not bad for the first time, but there are some small mistakes in the transmitter. First, you need to reduce the number of long wires to a minimum. Connecting a final power amplifier with long wires leads to the formation of harmonics, as well as self-excitation. Second, you cannot power the transmitter from a switching power supply. Only a 50 Hz iron transformer, a full bridge rectifier, and a capacitor. Third, shield the oscillator to improve frequency stability. In general, it is better to perform the generator in an oscillatory circuit. And yes. If you decide to study the principles of radio broadcasting, it is better to start with vacuum tubes. Yes, it’s hard to find a transformer for them, with voltages of 250 and 6.3 volts (and yes, don’t even think about taking the anode voltage directly from the outlet - it’s dangerous due to the lack of galvanic isolation), vacuum tube designs are bulky and require a large case. But they are reliable, they are difficult to fail (so you can safely make mistakes when assembling the transmitter :) ), and you can remove a lot of power from them with relative simplicity. Good luck in your creative endeavors, I hope that soon your channel will have a larger audience.

538 / 5000 Hello, nice video! I am also very familiar with all kinds of channels and build them myself. do you know which crystal you use? 8 mhz there is also air traffic (weather reports and more) it is better to buy a crystal around 6.4mhz(6400khz) on the internet (ebay) there are pirates around 6200 to 6500khz in AM mode. search with google for grenade am transmitter (schematic) AM modulators can also be found. you are also always welcome at the AM forum, we also write English there .. German etc ... Healthy Friendly Greetings from the Netherlands Rob

That is interesting, as far as I know 8 mhz was used for shortwave radio and that's how I received it with. I do have an sdr stick but it only goes down to 24 mhz. I have to check the frequency assignment for Germany. Do you have a link of the forum?

@@thesciencefurry . PAY ATTENTION!!! It wasn't 100% exactly 8MHz and it was USB I thought really watch out! . Here you have a receiver for those bands: websdr.ewi.utwente.nl:8901/ Permit the audio! Click on: MAX IN - Click on: AM Select a frequency in the box for KHZ for example 6300 or 6305khz on Saturday and Sunday afternoon there are sometimes pirates! search between 6200 and 6500khz OR on MW 1600 to 1660khz in AM modes . .......Questions? let me know! GOOD LUCK! VrGr Rob.
