VERY cute and creative! Looks efficient too! I loved the low cost build idea.

Chris, hope all is well with you. I have always really enjoyed your videos and it’s been a while since you have taken the time to share what’s going on in your neck of the woods. I’m fairly certain it’s been nothing but amazing, even if you didn’t take the time to record it. Take care..... Joel

+Joel L Thanks Joel! Ya I'm still around, I just started a machining business while still doing my day job so I've not had the time to make any videos. If you have Instagram you can follow me on there @chrisdeprisco as I just post quick pics or video clips of something neat happens.

Pretty cool. Plenty of room to stagger more spools below those to double, possibly triple the capacity without taking up any more wall space.

one thing you could add are strips of jeans fabric mounted on an axle under the offrolling side of each spool the strip of fabric is then layed over the top of the spool and weighted down slightly on the other end (like with a fishingweight ) , this put a slight brake force on the spools preventing them from unspooling from gravity or just springy plastic not want to stay rolled up if you make the fabric strips wide enough to cover the whole spool in between the sides it allso helps keeping the dust off

Here's an idea - put ruler markings beneath the squeegee so you can get exact lengths of wire!

I was thinking about putting one of these on there! www.englo.eu/userfiles/image/products/bigThumb/ms-5.jpg

Was that a 3d print head on your cnc router? If so, what head were you using? I was thinking of doing the same to a project, I just don't know what size to get.

What a wonderfully over engineered way to dispense wire.

you may want to 3d print some t handles to hold the wire spools on. i think the standard nuts would be problematic. some printed T handles could be threaded so the are a snug fit, like a nylock, but no tools required. just a thought.
@ChrisDePrisco7 жыл бұрын
I like that idea! I'll probably make some up whenever I get around to adding the rest of the threaded rod. Thanks!

It's a little over the top...But I like it. I'm not sure I'd buy a brand new squeegee to accomplish the task. There's plenty of room to expand your spool collection though.

I thought the same thing, but I just looked them up and although the ones with the handle are kind of expensive ($25/each), just the squeegee part is only $6 at Home Depot. Well worth it. Although I feel like it needs some springs or something to keep it down. It seemed to work alright for Chris though.
@ChrisDePrisco7 жыл бұрын
Yea, like Rob said you can get them super cheap from the big box stores (~$8 for mine). Probably no good at squeegeeing but just fine for this. Certainly an optional accessory, though!

Hey Chris! Great Video! I rather you include a little commentary about the thought process included with the silent part of the vid. It was eerily quite for most parts of the video.

Think I prefer the other style of audio accompaniment - music and voice over. I appreciate that putting these videos together can take a lot longer with things like that so I don't blame you for this approach and I'd still enjoy the videos if you keep it this way.
