I brought my sons up with Focus on the Family and James Dobson’s books! Now I’m growing in faith as a new widow, after being married almost 51 years! Thank you for all you’ve done throughout the years!

Well I hope you pass that love on to others such as minorities and homosexuals. I hope you don't vote for racist bigoted presidents. I hope you quit listening to this liar

Thank you Greg for explaining what Jesus has done for us in such a clear way. As a new believer, I struggle with conceptualizing what it means to say Jesus has died for MY sin. I too struggle with not only the guilt of my sin or feelings of unworthiness, but even the idea of releasing my burdens and worries to Jesus himself. Is that bizarre?

Thank you for your kind feedback and for sharing your heart, friend. As part of our ministry here at Focus on the Family, we have a staff of pastoral counselors available to offer reassurance, answer questions, and pray with you. We’d like to invite you to call one of them at your convenience. Just call 800-232-6459 between 6:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. (MT), Mon - Fri. The Family Help Center staff member who answers the phone will arrange for a pastoral counselor to call you back. There’s no cost for this -- we just want to come alongside you in any way we can. We hope to hear from you soon.

I don’t understand why people think they are born into sin, or commit sins throughout their life. This concept is very much a bogus thing.

@@EchoCTango I shall do my best. The bible states that we are born into sin. This concept is at best, dubious. It makes no logical sense that we are born into sin and somehow owe a debt to an imaginary entity. The concept of sin is also quite problematic, the bible has a number of inconsistencies in what it prescribes as moral behaviour but they seem to be absolute and not grounded in any kind of logical foundation. This makes the concept of sin highly suspicious.
