Sorry for my ignorance but recently I'm considering buying a wrx but, is it true that everything you modify on a wrx/sti (even changing the air filter like you did) requires tune? Basicaly every even small mod, requires tune?

Probably late for a response. Many mods don't need a tune like cat back exhaust that only removes the muffler or resonator and a pod air filter. But for other mods like cold air intake or a catalytic convertor/s delete you need a tune for smooth operation and best performance from the mod.
