Hi , i have a question; wondering if you could advise me. I’m interested in pr and communication but writing is not my strongest skill and have checked on various vacancies for this industry with both vacancies applications stating that the ideal candidate should have excellent writting. Marketing is not an option for me as it doesn’t interest me. Is their a job that doesn’t put emphasis on writing What do you suggest?

Hi Glamis, though writing plays an integral part of PR, you can enter a PR firm with strong skills such as videography, video editing, graphic design, animation etc. You cannot be totally bad at writing so you will indicate that, yes, you try at writing but very good at the aforementioned skills (that's if you are, if not learn them). You can also be a strategist in the firm. Look at your strengths and know how best they fit in PR and that's all that you will leverage on. That will be your pitch. (Please remember, writing is essential as you already know, so also start improving your writing skills, bit by bit...you could start by writing about yourself, your daily activities, your friends experience etc and you will be fine.) @@mayomayo9557 animation counts in soo many ways. Ways you can't possibly imagine. You know, research has proven that people are more inclined to watching videos and animation ( Beautiful animation) can't be ignored. You animate something beautiful for your client and just put it out there. It should be geared towards building a positive brand/image for your client. I am terribly sorry for replying soo late. Really sorry.
