I think Poppy R'd her, but Leona already got her E to connect with an enemy which is always going to land, so she got sent flying and then her E finishing brought her to her target.

Some abilities take priority over other abilities. Naut Q, Leona E, Ezreal E, Viego R are some examples of ones that take priority over most other abilities in the game. The other ability will go through, but it won’t cancel theirs. So she landed her E before she got poppy ulted, so after ult animation, her E went through Edit: by “priority” I mean “can’t be cancelled by” Like you know how if you get hit by a blitz hook on ezreal, but you started E cast before it lands, you’ll E away anyways. Same concept

Nah it's just about cast time intervals. Poppy ult is insta while leona E cast winding is longer same as Naut (hook drag travel time) , Tristana (jump delay) & etc. So as long as your ability takes time to wind up, you can cancel any instant CC
