Building a Survival Shelter in the Forest - Two Day SOLO Camp [ASMR]

Today I built a quick survival shelter, ideal for summer, without nails, in the forest. I took my dog with me on the solo camping survival adventure with me where we shared in all manor of bushcraft fun and took shelter from the elements as we camped in the wilderness for two days, before packing up camp to leave no trace that we were there and then heading back to civilisation again.

He’s in his element running around the forest whilst I’m building a camp. Haven’t done that since I was a kid, but it also felt good to have a break from sanding the deck of Cadoha, and being covered in ‘man glitter’ 😬

@@AVeryBritishAdventure That is ovbious. Actually, my question was based on my first dog. A giant Berner Sennen, named Taf. He wasn't a fan of my boat. Nor was my girlfriend at the time. So every friday, when I was loading the car to drive to the marina, Taf's nose sniffed everything that went in the car. And then on my question: "Taf, coming with me to the boat?", he would jump in the car or run back to the kitchen in the house. His nose ruled.

Nice but seemed to be a lot of work for an evening or one night camp. I also think it would have been fun to add some of the local produce - mushrooms and wild garlic come to mind with your tomahawk steak as we did in my younger years.

That’s a great shout, I do like a wild mushroom harvest. We used to find them along the coast at this time of year and have them with some Bass or even lobsters, on-board Cadoha ☺️🙏🏼

Wow! That's a substantial camp site! Looks brilliant! I don't want you to give the location away but are you stealth camping, a commercial site or permission from friends land? Is it local to where you live as i have found similar locations but in wales!

I’m curious about your wood source? Is it constructed from deadfall or did you cut live trees?

All the logs and structure for the tarp came from wood that’s already fallen and dead.
