Caution! camping by the riverbank can be dangerous! Please do not attempt it unless you are very familiar with the conditions and can assess the situation accurately.
With my backpack strapped on, I followed the stream until I found the perfect spot to set up camp. My goal was to build a stone oven to keep me warm throughout the night. After a pleasantly warm night by the fireplace, I witnessed a beautiful sunrise. A fantastic bushcraft adventure!

I don't know where your location is.....but, I can tell you. That is one of the most beautiful clear blue, rivers I've ever seen. Absolutely breathe taking. ❤

I love your content, andI have one helpful hint. You should look for standing dead trees to cut fire wood. Trees on the ground collect more snow, rain and moisture from wet dirt and moss. And always check the heart wood for rot and funky wood. Hard dry wood burns the best. Pine burns fast with lots of smoke 😊

There is no way that I would consider placing my camp that close to the river. Flash flood? You can see where the high water line is. Above that is where you place your camp. Well above that...
