Building A Wooden Tongue Drum (Beginner Woodworking)

I've only recently started woodworking, and in the past month I've been making tongue drums. This is the first time I've filmed in my workshop, which you can see especially in the beginning of the video when I'm constantly blocking the view. Nevertheless I hope this video is useful to someone.

Nice work! I'm curious about the jig saw blade. How long and how wide? The very thin blades I can find look too short and to fragile. I guess with the big hole in the middle you don't really need to make any tight turns.

Which measurements do you need exactly? Honestly I never use exact measurements but just find out which size it turns out to be. I think it was around 40x25-30

Cool stuff/ NIce instrument. Please, please check out Stumpy Nubs and a few others on table saw safety, binding and kickback. What you are doing at 4.50 could cost you fingers.

@@WoodCat Cool. I'm still learning and had a kickback incident two days after posting! Painful - but no real harm done. My lesson concerms the scrap piece catching the blade. So, so fast. Anyway, stay safe and all the best with the coolstuff.
