Thank you for placing a rug inside of Lamp’s dog house. I placed an older sturdy braided rug inside of our dog’s beautiful dog house so he would feel comfortable when lying down and the cold/damp weather wouldn’t bother his joints. Always appreciate your decorative designs! You’re a genius😌💕

Knowing how much he enjoys Lamp's company I was surprised to see Brucke building a dog house... unless it was going to be a place for her while he was working outside. He responded to another comment about this and explained that it was not a place for her to live it was just something he was interested in building. From all the digging she was doing I think Lamp was already planning a basement addition 😁 And to be honest, during the warmer months while Brucke is working outside, Lamp could be tied out in that shady area to dig in the cool earth which obviously brings her a great deal of enjoyment.

Yes, that is a froe. I've split many a shingle using a froe and wooden maul. It is very satisfying work. There's a saying in America which goes, "Dull as a froe". That saying refers to the fact that the froe SPLITS the wood, not cuts it. If it were sharp, it would cut the wood fibers instead of separating them, thereby cutting the cells instead of allowing them to shed water. Hope this makes sense. Diane in NC

@@MiddleEastMilli Yes, in fact you should remove both the bark and the sap wood. The sap wood is very soft and won't hold up very long. I'm not sure what kind of wood was being split, but it didn't have very much sap wood.
