My wife and I got a 2008 Evo X a couple months ago because we have a baby on the way and needed a car with a usable back seat; we've been working on getting it fixed up and un-clapped-out since the previous owners were definitely closer to teenagers than not. It feels like a car with a lot of charm, we've really been enjoying tinkering with it and fixing up some of the broken bits, and your series here is definitely providing a lot of inspiration for where the car might end up!

Perfect 4 door car for any evo enthusiast! I like the fact that it's a big bigger than the Evo 8 even on the inside! I'm glad I can give some inspo on your build! Good luck and if you need anything don't hesitate to reach out!

@@ChrisGoorbarry Its not really bigger than a Evo 7-8-9 interior actually. the legroom in the rear of Evos 7-8-9 is over 3 inches spacier. the moderized roof style of the evo X is sleaker and slimmer withsmaller windows to get with the times of the era too

I never realized how much brown/purple are in the phantom black. What an amazing color when it is cleaned up. I had a white one that eventually grenaded because of the previous owner didn't have overboost protection with their tune. Coupled with the timing chain stretching and cylinder 3 was toast.

Love the Evo's since GT3 and save money for my personal X since nearly 10 years now. Here in Germany the prices for good one are at about 40-50.000€. 1:00 Remember! Never do that! Dust is a great leak indicator. Fully inspect the engine bay, look for the leaks and excessive dirt. Remember them and then you can wash everything. Also, when you buy a car with super clean engine bay (it was washed) - probably seller wants to hide something. Keep that in mind.
