Give it a year's worth or so of testing in the real world, take her to some of the big shows, in the mean time, figure out what you need for people, specialized equipt & processes to build them in production,, what needs to be modified for production purposes, what you can save costs on, where you can lighten it up, how you'll integrate various needed accessory equipt options, and get someone to finance all of that. You're done the easy part, now come all the headache parts. Can't accuse of being dull, still another big learning curve to go thru. I think you folk have what it takes to get'er done, hang in there, the ride is just beginning.

Several ideas and requests. 1st Please work with Roshel to make the Roshel Senators Diesel electric. These have the added reasons of stealth, including thermal stealth, reliability, efficiency, ability to work as an emergency generator, working with solar panels for example as a plug in to conserve even more diesel. 2nd For redundancy please try a design with two sewing machine sized plug in - pull out - diesel power packs that can swap in a minute to allow easier service. Having two packs also allows one engine operation for maintenance cruise, and two engine operation for running recharge. This is great for Roshel Senators and for commercial vehicles. 3rd Please look at Axial Electric and other higher torque new designs of motors because I suspect that there are opportunities there to add noticeable capacity.

I want the hat you’re wearing at 32:00, the blue Edison Motors Hat that says “Stealing Tesla’s Ideas” is it being sold somewhere? Also, y’all should think about making a shirt or something that says “Not a curved window in sight”. The first I ever saw or heard of you was when you were talking about how tractors have fancy curved windows for “aerodynamics” (and you talked about how it’s actually so that it would have to be installed by a manufacturer or dealer for extra money)

Curved glass is also stronger, although that can also be solved with thicker or more layers of glass. I doubt that’s why all companies use curved glass but a slight curve can go a long way in preventing cracks.
@cthulhuaid299821 сағат бұрын
@@UnyonRingI get the devil's advocate fs not harping on you but even if it's easier to crack the economy of scale and simplicity of creation that could be achieved by flat glass would in theory mean that even with more cracks it'd be so much easier to repair that it still pays for itself

Been following from fairly early on ... Keep at it guys 🧙🏻♂️🇬🇧 your attacking the problems from the ground up and the lessons your learning can be applied to displacement hull boats and long distance cruisers. Dont forget to keep an eye on the copper free, none perminant magnet motors as the supply and demand for both Cu and the rare earth minerals used in the magnets will go on a rollercoaster ride due to supply instabillity and production competition/ protectionism driven by the US if things go bad.

so impressive to see you build an electric truck from nothing to a fully functional one, with European eyes, I have to ask how to get a build like this approved for driving on public roads?, it must be crash tested and approved against cars and people or ?, probably not fully aware of the specifications, but are they airbags? abs brakes or sprung cab/seat in it? looks incredibly uncomfortable and dumb...anyway awesome job
@lebrandonian22 сағат бұрын
Not sure about Canadian road approval but while US DOT standards are strict they are public. Non commercially it’s as simple as making an appointment, getting an inspection certificate, taking the vehicle to the tax collector, and submitting an application. It does not have to be crash tested in order to hit the road, but it does in order to be sold commercially I believe. Semi trucks don’t have airbags. Hybrid vehicles use electric regenerative brakes. When you let off the “gas” the wheels turn the motor instead of vice versa and the motor becomes a generator. Hope this helps!

Lookes good Chase. I was wondering if you're doing a full charge or running between the 40 to 80 percent charge for longer-term reliability. Also, what style batteries are you using. Watching what happened to Li batteries in Chicago freez would be bad for you. How are you going to keep the batteries warm.
@augsu16 сағат бұрын
That Chicago freeze thing was bunkus, mostly snow packed in charger plugs from wind, and douchebags that leave the plugs on the ground. I have several electric vehicles that operate through NW Montana winters and they do much better than internal combustion at extreme temps. I won't think of running an ICE truck below -40, but my EV's don't care, batteries are heated. They use electric motors and batteries in space and it's friggin cold up there!
