Those stall doors are gorgeous. Just FYI though, poplar is the favorite wood for horses to chew.

What did you use for the frame with the tubes? 2x4? What size did you use for the tubes?

Can you tell me if that was 1x6 or 1x4 material that you used to make your door frame and slats with?

1x6 material

@@CairnCreek When you did the back side did you run 1X6 down both sides and across the top and then use a 1x3 on the bottom to support the slats? Also, did you gram the opening in 1x2. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks for the help. My first wood working project from scratch. 😁

If it knows what a wire shocking fence is than you just have to put knobs on top of boards and string wire. Wire doesn’t need to be shocking... if it’s not used to shocking wire than put up same way and hook up to a shocker.. after it’s zapped a bit you can remove shocker. Let the wire up.....we had a wire shocking fence about 45 yrs ago. A friend gave me a cribbed horse,,skin and bones. They were going to euthanize him. I said no,,can I take him. He was in a wood fence. When I got him he ran through the electric fence 1 time. That’s all It took.. ( I even had thin rags cut hanging from wire for him to see)..problem was in his stall than. So we just pit knobs on top with wire all around.even on entry door..it wasn’t hooked to shocker, but-he thought-it was..LOL..He gained weight and was the most beautiful, muscular Palomino..I loved riding him..good Luck..
