There's hardly any roof left, trees growing out of the building itself, that building has been one of the hundreds of eyesores in monessen, and besides the building next to the 3rd street parking lot, it's probably the most dangerous one for getting ready to collapse. My family's old house recently got torn down on 3rd street after the front porches collapsed onto the road and sidewalk. After driving through the whole city recently, i would say that about 1/16th to 1/8th of the houses are too far gone to rehab. I am all for preservation, but a wise man once said, when you come to last page, close the book.
