Fantastic work, very detailed description. Thank you! Did you put two layers of drywall everywhere?
@Chiselsplay10 ай бұрын
Thanks a lot. I put double on bends because that thin bendy sheet is half the thickness of regular one I used for the upright walls

Wow thank you. Great videos! Has the floor transition method of using self leveling product and fiberglass worked out over time without cracking? I was wondering how to do the floor transition.
@Chiselsplay3 жыл бұрын
Haven't heard any complaints from the customer. Though we still haven't lived the winter in this building, so I can't tell for sure.

boss what type of fiberglass sheet did you use? or what thickness? I'm on this step as we speak lol
@Chiselsplay Жыл бұрын
I wish I knew. I just used some random stuff I had laying around. But any thickness will work fine. It doesn’t have to be thick

Weew Great work, may I ask what kind of wood you use for the frame? and what kind sheet you use? and how about thick of sheet? Thankyou so much
@Chiselsplay2 жыл бұрын
thanks a lot. I used 15mm plywood for the frame and some pine scraps to fill in between the plywood. For the walls Ive used regular 12mm drywall sheets. for the bent parts I used special bendable drywall sheets. These were half the thickness of the regular sheet, so I used two layers to match the thickness of the wall.
@lallen9683 жыл бұрын
what kind of dry wall do you use? they dont get cracked when you bend them?
@Chiselsplay3 жыл бұрын
I used mostly knauf products for this project. They have 6mm sheets for bending. knauf.solutions/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/3.6.6-Curved-Walls-and-Ceilings_0.pdf

Hello, can you tell me, in private what type of paint you used for walls and floor? Thank you!
@Chiselsplay2 жыл бұрын
First the client bought epoxy based paint. Even though it was durable but the paint started to yellow almost immediately. So they repainted the whole thing with alkyd enamel white. This type worked a treat

what would you charge to build this if you don't mind me asking (labor)? I have a client that wants one built and I was wondering what to charge. I estimate materials at $5000 US.

I don’t know the hourly rate in your region, so I’ll tell you how much time it took and you’ll figure it out the rest;)) I think I worked for two weeks and about 10h a day. So 120-140 hours. But it’s just me. I might be slow at plastering the drywall :D
