That's a really smart way to build a F-style neck.....totally different to my process....I've never built a one-piece Maple neck ... but when I do I'm going to be doing it just like that... very slick my friend !!! Cheers !

I snapped a neck after sanding through to the truss rod once. Smashed it over the bench and the headstock broke my knuckle 😬 imagine the double rage 🤣

Thanks Paul. I must have spent bloody hours watching your videos over the last couple of days. Most of it has been with me crying laughing. You are a star and I love your content. I am a massive Floyd fan and so will be watching the upcoming episode of the Gilmour strat build with delight. I suspect you are also going to cost me a bloody fortune as I have been putting off building a "proper" guitar for years. I've made some lapsteels and really enjoyed that, but, like you, I love tools and can see orders pinging off to Crimson, Stewmac and all sorts of other luthiery porn merchants over coming weeks and months. Got to go - I need to get my bandsaw tuned and the workshop cleaned up!. Please keep up the great work. BTW - congrats on your efforts for leukaemia research, a cause close to my heart.

I had a strat built once with a 12 inch radius and absolutely hated it at first. Then during lockdown I started playing it every day and it's since been my favourite strat. There's a good reason why Fender moved away from 7 1/4. I enjoyed looking at your long tool.

Really enjoying this series. People take so many things for granted, the skill and steps it takes to craft what appears to be a rather simple object. Plenty of opportunities to muck things up. Paul I’ve gone through all your videos this week and if you want my honest opinion, bloody brilliant! I can’t pick a favourite outright because they all have great features, although saying that the paisley is up there! This ones getting some very special electronics...To be revealed next week. Minimal neck relief..1.5mm at the 12th as a starting point. Every guitar is different to be honest. Depends on the clients playing style.

7.25" radius for Gilmour's strat is it not ?... I prefer the smaller radius because it feels so much more comfortable... very hard to come by these days it seems,, I must be old fashioned 😅... love the jig btw.
