Hi Jeff. I work for a nationalpark in Austria. we want to create a map that links all the things that you have to be aware off when working in the forest in the park. al of the points, lines and polygons are in different maps, is it possible to link them so that you can see all that information in a map with hexagons. the idea is that, when you´re in the forest you can click on the hexagon were youre standing and see if theres something you should be aware of. It’s pretty hard to answer your question in a forum like this. Especially without seeing your data and exactly what you want done. But yes I’m sure it’s possible to do what you want to do. Let me know how I can help further if I can.

@@jeffsun_GIS thanks for the answer. i basically have about 15 different maps that shows points of interest. and i´ve made on layer that divides the park into small hexagons. i want that all the maps are linked to the hexagonlayer, so that you can click on the heagon you are standing in an see the points of interest. i´ll be in the office later today and maybe i can send you som of the data iff that would help. thanks again

I would say the quick answer to your question is yes it sounds possible. The thing you are linking is data though. Not maps. So the idea is to click on a hexagon and pull up info from other pieces of data, other tables and such.

@@jeffsun_GIS yes Thats exactly what I'm aiming for. I've tried to connect the date using spatial joins, and then using the relationship class function but I can't quite get it to work tho😊 Any suggestions? Best regards Bruno

@@brunomikkelsen1783 it sounds like a 1 to many relationship. 1 hexagon to many pieces of data you want to join. So you just need a common piece of data in each table. I would say something like hexagon ID maybe? But every table will have to have that information. So if a price of data goes with hexagon 1 for example. You need to have a column in your tables that say that. Then you can use a relate to join all your data to the hexagons.
