Thanks for the detailed explanation! :) I am actually working on a individual setup for my needs...

I keep coming back to this video. Still hoping to replicate it at some point.

@@01jimmythesaint I found something that might be of interest to you. A guy in the UK sells a midi drum controller. So, instead of using a drum module, you hook this up to a laptop. Only makes sense if you actually want to use samples other than those in the module, of course. I'm envisioning using an audio interface to take care of amp simulation and fx, vocal processing, midi instruments and an electronic foot drum. With that, only my lack of talent stands between me and fame, lol. The guy goes by Deadastronaut fx, site is the first Google result.

@@joetowers4804 oh that sounds cool do you have a link or name?

Dude, this idea has so much merit to it! I´ve been looking at different piezo and magentic pickup stompboxes, and can't understand why the commercial ones are so expensive...I guess it's more the woodworking than anything else. Love the idea of triggering samples rather than just a thud.

Great video! This has been really helpful. How are the springs attached to the pedal/board?

Nicely done! I'm a keyboard player working on something similar with piezo elements and a midi drum interface Alesis io going into Ableton Live. It's been years and I still haven't hit where I wanna be with it yet. Wish the big manufacturers would come up with something lol. Anyways kudos to you it sounds great and really adds to your sound.

Hello, all your pedals are well done, just one question: how did you duplicate the Snare ?, and in some cases it has only one output.
@01jimmythesaint2 жыл бұрын
I used the TOM input and changed the instrument in the drum module to be another snare drum
@paulotarso29282 жыл бұрын
I don't have this option, I'll try to see how it is to put two piezos connected to a single input, will it work?

This is awesome man, I watched your intro video and this exactly what I want to do. Definitely going for the cam cole sound but the farmer kit has it’s downfalls for all the reasons you had mentioned (plus the price) I’m in mechanical engineering so all the electrical stuff doesn’t come as naturally to me. I’d love to see more videos on this or other prototypes, keep it up!

Farmer sell their kits for €2600 nowdays. Give it a few years and you’ll be doing EFootDrums and I’ll be buying them The farmers too big and clunky. If someone can make a legit compact electric version there’s a massive market for that
