This Just In....Newfoundland man clocked at speeds exceeding 150 miles per hour on the TCH in a modified filing cabinet.....details at 5 on 7 action news All jokes aside, Tony this is some of the best use of recycled materials that was ever converted into good as new and in some cases better and thicker than factory original gauge panels, it even comes pre primed/painted, no flash rust or scale to deal with, the idea to go this route is brilliant. Very tidy professional work indeed brother! I bet the trans tunnel is going to be awesome. I had no idea you were planning to take Crusty to the next level I swear Fitzee could build you a Miata if he had enough Maytag's.

Excellent work as usual. Those beads look like slightly thinner versions of the factory Jaguar floors in the XJ6 and XJS from the late 70s onwards. The indents were filled in with sound deadening foam that always got damp and rusted through! Guess why I know that 😞

Fitzee When you get those floor pans done and the transmission tunnel and the Trunk you should have The whole area sprayed with bedliner it’ll make it very quiet if you get a company to do it, they’ll do it right it’ll be flawless. It’ll keep the noise down and look really good. You can even get it done in colors When you put carpet down, you could probably leave the tunnel with the bedliner on it mate black it’ll probably look really good that away. It won’t be very hard to lay carpet in it. I wouldn’t spray the roll cage, I’m just talking about the sheet metal on the floor You’re doing a hell of a job you’re working on getting the whole car finished soon 🤓💯👍

@rupe539 ай бұрын
A few months ago I watched a guy doing VW floor pans and he made a jig to get the 4 corners correct. I believe it was on (or related to) the MW5150 channel maybe 6 months ago. He also gave advice on which brand seems to fit best, because they are all aftermarket parts these days.
@faroironandcustoms65779 ай бұрын
Thank you!!!! Mine is chopped, sectioned, and it has a Windsor in it in the front. So, none of the VW parts work. I expect my floors will turn out a lot like Fitzee's. His are nicer though, LOL!!!
@rupe539 ай бұрын
@@faroironandcustoms6577 then you must have built a full frame as well, which means a jig may help keep everything aligned without test fitting the body several times. Of course, there's always CAD... cardboard aided design. (templates)

That’s Fritzee for ya, Keeping it real. You deserve some Donair’s and a Beverage. It would be interesting to see air ventilation channel built above the transmission using the tunnel that you can mount a fan to cool the transmission between racing heats. Reducing transmission heat helps the transmission work better and last longer. Also, consider where and how you’re going to mount your Auxiliary transmission cooler in the grill area?
@fitzeesfabrications9 ай бұрын
There will be alot of room out under the hood for a blower to blow air towards the trans. As for trans cooler. I have one with a fan that will be mounted under the car and out behind the rear wheels.

You must have had a warm day over there in Newfoundland for Peanut to venture outside and roll around on the ground. It's still really hot and humid with showers here in Queensland Australia. Hottest summer on record. I hate to think what the winter will be like here this year, probably freezing cold. The weather has gone crazy lately.

Hello Tony Well done . If you want prevent rust on your grinded areas for your Spot or plus welds . You can use a Primer you can weld through . When you welded the Primer floats away from the weld and goes back to the weld and seal it when it cools of. Best wishes greetings from Germany yours Frank
