Can anyone tell me where I can download for free, high resolution quadrant instrument gauges for printing ? As it is for decoration purposes, I would like a 60's or 70's cockpit panel (without screen avionics - just round intrument gauges). My panel Will have 70 cms length. There's an important detail: the instrument gauge cannot have the pointer. Just the layout or the raw quadrant.

I am not sure of a place that has those kind of images. I had to design mine in Adobe illustrator. The other option that would not be free, you could find old gauges that have been removed from aircraft and take them apart. That’s how I got the RPM gauge to get the ball rolling. Another option could be to find a picture of what you need with the needles and photoshop the needles out of the pictures. Good luck on your project!

Awesome job!!!! I'm making similar gauges for an F16 flight sim, using engraved plastic on my Xtool D1.. Mine are only static for now, but I'll implement movement soon.

The nice thing on yours is you may be able to use the faces you engraved and just add a stepper motor to the back of them.

Hi, how did you connect and calibrate the instrument

There are a couple programs you can use. I use Mobi Flight as it works with both X-Plane and MSFS. Another one is simvim, I also believe AirManager can now do this as well.

I have been working on building an altimeter gauge. It’s a bit more work but once I get it set up I will make a video on that gauge as we’ll. It will be the hardest of the gauges I think at least so far!

looking good, one question: how do you calibrate the gauge once powered on and connected to the sim?

Sorry we are on vacation. In the mobiflight app there is a zero button. At this time I make sure all gauges are at the zero spot and calibrate them. You can add a switch that they can click and center on them selfs and I may do that as I remake some of the gauges! Great question though!!!!

What do you use to draw the gauge?

I used Adobe illustrator and moved stuff around until I liked it. But you could use any drawing program. Then sent it to my printer and cut it out, to make sure I liked it before sending it to the laser.

Nice video. Good job there, "Jammer"! :D I like to build gauges for my sim for the flight simulator DCS World, but it seems that the software (for the Stepper motor "28BYJ-48" (with ULN2003 Driver Board) that you are using), "Mobi Flight" only support these games: "These are the simulators that we support MSFS2020, P3D, FSX, FS9 X-Plane 12, X-Plane 11,X-Plane 10, X-Plane 9". Is there someone who knows if I can use this for DCS? ; )

I looked into it and could not find another program that does it, maybe someone else can chime in. I do follow this channel and he is building a Jet fighter pit and shows how to build your own panels. I would check out his channel! kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYnbf5WGbpZ7a7csi=gmHCAiDbMzdOOpi7 Hope this helps Flight Sim Jammer.
