When you graduate from college, I am sure your parents would look at all the furniture you left behind and say, "That's my boy!" If you were to get an apartment, or a house, would there be a playlist of you're making a workshop, and furniture for it? Until then, thumbs up.

hope you read this... ..you need to learn how to hold an LP, please, the way you did made me shiver a bit...... basically you let the record slide in to the palm of your hand out of the sleve, then support it with your middle finger(s), after you got rid of the sleve, you can sue your other hand to support it oposit of the hand you 're already using to place the LP on the player. aaaaand vice versa on takking the record from the player and into the sleve :)

Man I’m 31 years old and I’m not ashamed to say your experience with regard to under estimating/over promising the amount of time it took to finish the build was comforting to see. There’ve been so many projects that I’ve unnecessarily beat myself up over not finishing when I thought I “should have.” So much to learn in the way of granting yourself the grace which you so often give to others. I just discovered your channel. Saw this one come up a few times and figured hey why not see what he’s got to offer. Really neat seeing the success you’ve achieved at a relatively young age. I was a carpenter on construction sites for many years, all the other carpenters used to come to me to sharpen their chisels as none of them were any good at it. Learn to free hand it, having a bit of a bevel is not the end of the world and if you care it doesn't take long to learn how to get a flat edge on it. I did most of the work with my legs and used my upper body to brace it. Also don't overthink it, you can do the same with rocks down by a river, this is ancient and primitive stuff, and that's a good thing. Also sharpening a wood saw is way easier than you'd think

DUDEI! You legit did work on this. I thought it was going to be one of those "look at me build this in my driveway, with 10k worth of tools" but instead you really did all this with basic stuff on saw horses in the middle of winter. Legit kudos. and that wave front end is next level. Your excitement at every item that turned out how planned got me excited for it working out for you. I know all too well the frustration of putting time into wood just for it to need to be scrapped. 👍

This video led me to discover your channel and subsequently watch all your videos. One thing that struck me was how much your parents have supported and appreciated your talents over the years. I would like to suggest a future project of building new kitchen cabinets for your family home. Not only would this be a great way to thank your parents, but I would really love to see how you would approach kitchen cabinetry with your modern woodworking aesthetic. Might I recommend curved corner cabinets? Perhaps you could use your laser cutter to incorporate veneer inlay? In any case, I subscribed, and made my sons watch your videos to gain inspiration.

Fast forward five years and I run across this thumbnail and immediately started watching you for the first time. Three things I absolutely love and respect about you and your work. Your voiceover is top notch and communicates the build process very well. Camera work is stunning given the lighting, time constraints and the fact that it’s only you. Lastly they glue up was rough to watch and looked hard as hell. Kudos to you for showing the hard bits that drive hoards off armchair quarterbacks to comment about whatever they would do better. After watching this video I can see why Laura talked about you. She was really ahead of the curve at seeing your potential. Thank you for this video and all your hard work.

Wow! I did not come into this video expecting this level of cinematography, artistry, and craftsmanship. I learned things and was entertained like I was at the movies. Looking forward to watching more of these. Really impressive!

I don’t even do woodworking, but this was so informative and entertaining that I watched the whole video! The artistry and teaching element come so naturally to you, that you somehow make such a complex project look simple. Now I feel like I could do this too! 😂

Absolutely in spectacular! The design is fanominal. Execution came from your heart. Perseverance through weather and the unexpected speaks volumes. Some of the finest of woodworking shops could not execute what you did under a tent in the winter. The production editing and content kept me from scrolling. I really appreciate you sharing this experience. All the best.

Normally, these kinds of videos go in my Wood or Projects playlist for inspiration later, but this one is also going straight into my Favorites. Very nice work, Miles. I'm very jealous, but also immensely stoked and also proud even though I don't even know you. It just turned out so well, and doing a project like this from a set of bought, premade plans would already be a pretty good achievement for most hobby woodworkers, but the fact that you thought this up and just came up with every step and executed them yourself, is just immensely gratifying and you should also be proud. I'm sure there are other builders looking at this and thinking "that's easy" and you might be right, in which case you should also be proud of your skills, something like this takes real finesse and dedication, especially making those kerfs work and then that door. Bravo, Miles.

Amazing work, Miles! I know too well the frustration and disappointment when things take x2 or x3 times more to complete. Don't let that feeling corrode you. What truly matters is that the project is complete and that it makes you feel fulfilled in the end. Great work takes a great amount of time. And that's also because it takes a great part of us. If we do things quickly and without care, I don't see the point of doing them in the first place. :)

Thanks Cristiana! It really means a lot that you watched my video! I’m glad you can relate to wanting to take your time to make sure it’s done right, some might call it perfectionism, but it makes me much happier when I see the end result!

More I dive into woodworking I realize this is all about detailed planning. And patience. Acurate measurement. And patience. Suitable tools and proper usage. And a lot of patience. All this was achieved by You and the result is impressive. Thanks for sharing Miles, it's inspiring.
Which one will take more 😉
