We are building an addition on a house. We are using Nudura ICF for the foundation. This is how we pour the concrete floor before building the Insulated concrete forms. There are some good tips and tricks here for you concrete lovers. Enjoy and thanks for watching.

As a former mud worker, nice work & i'm glad it's not me anymore. Way back in the early 90's was on a crew that poured the hanger door pockets for the aircraft hangers that housed the F117 Stealth Fighter at Holloman AFB New Mexico. Probably the most interesting thing i ever poured, we had to fashion our own wood edgers to fit over the rails the doors rolled on. Great thing about concrete placement is at the end of the day you know you accomplished something that will last.

I like your angle of pouring the floor before the walls. Going to be real nice to work on a hard flat surface. Great job great crew.

Hey Bondo, I really enjoy watching your videos and group. I’m a older patriot and I have a request. I would love to hear you and your men throwing in my favorite slogans in your videos every now and then. 1) This ain’t nothing but a molehill for a mountain climber. Use that when faced with adversity. 2) If I were to give you a penny for your thoughts I’d expect my change back. Use that when the boys do stupid things.

@@KlemmetsmoReefing ya, I know they glue them, just seems like a decent amount of pressure on the blocks, especially since you are pushing concrete against them. I’ve always just poured the floor after the walls are built. I like his method here though. Seems much easier. Thanks for the reply.

@@patrickgraham8268 I was thinking the same thing like that foam wouldn’t be enough to hold back 4” of concrete. I mean if you had one bust loose it would be a huge problem. If it were me, I would t risk it. Maybe Bondo will respond to this?

Hey Ronny…. Did you develop that method of pouring the floor first so you didn’t have to knee board? Also, what time did the 1st truck arrive and what temp at the start and at the finish. How many questions am I allowed to ask? LOL. Keep em coming and hi to the Boyz.

any cons to order little more concrete and fill first course along with slab? it will improve holding of the first course especially with tall walls and no worries with left over...

I’m building my first icf house. I ran a pump for 15 years and pumped many icf walls. However I want to do a monolithic slab and do the walls so I’m not working in a muddy mess. Have you ever done it that way. I see you poured your footer and then set your first course. If you do it that way do you need to lay another course of icf to make up for the slab depth so you have a full 8 foot ceiling. Thanks for any help

I see another youtuber uses a pan disc on the power trowel. Have you ever used that? What do you pay for a cubic meter of concrete? Yep done the pour exactly the same.

What are the pros and cons of doing a nudura wall pour in a single pour for the entire wall height versus separate lifts (of say 4 foot each)?
@bondobuilt386
@bondobuilt386 3 жыл бұрын
Great question. The problem with doing it in one lift is that it will put a lot of pressure on the bottom blocks and you might get a blowout. doing it in lifts lets it set up a bit and less chance of that happening.

Did I miss a part in the video? I'm just about to start my new house with ICF. I was debating between Nudura or Amvic R30. Comparable in price but people say the Amvic 30 is easier to work with in terms of keeping wall strait and less risks of blowouts because of the 3.25" thickness. I like the idea of pouring the floor before bring the walls up but aren't you worried of your walls moving on you with the pressure from the concrete when pouring the floors?
