Building a house is tough proposition. For me, it's the most difficult assignment I have undertaken in life. It requires the traits of planning, perseverance, passion, dedication, mental toughness and results driven. Despite the aforementioned, it's all worth it at the end of the day when the build is complete. The journey is akin to a pregnant woman naturing a baby in her tummy. She goes through bouts with morning sickness and other tribulations. However, when her baby is ultimately delivered healthy, she is the happiest person on earth. You can't beat the feeling of joy in both scenarios. I am rooting for you. Cheers.

To reduce cost on landscape, grean grass both side end of building then you can either use rustic tiles in the middle, also create a space for garden. Wishing well, it's not easy, I live in the UK and can testify to the huge cost involved in building, I'd probably not do it again but rather buy but all depends on individual choice. You have a strong and committed wife by your side. Will look for you both next time when in Ghana. Best wishes for 2022. Dr Bill

Hi,if you have some funds,go and purchase the rest of the paint for the interior to avoid higher prices in the coming year, also the stones you planned to spread temporary to walk on ,create about two inches of concrete under laying in order for the stone to sink into the ground when it rains, in the future you can reuse the stones and also the two inch concrete can be broken in slabs and re use it in your wife’s garden to walk on ,you can even have them painted in pretty colors.

Thumbs up guys. You’re a little step from completion. Talking about quantity of paints, your inside wall paint alone will take 10 to 11 drums of paint. While the POP depending on how complex the design is will take 7 to 8 drums. Your outside wall is not included in this figure. We used 15 drums of wall paints for a house a little bigger than yours. Just keep going.

Exactly and we even got it cheaper. Some labourers charge 300ghs to spread each trip. and some laterite trips are 800ghs per trip
