What I appreciate the most about your content is the attention to details of doing things right from the engineering perspective. As an engineer myself, my temperature boils when I see Ghanaian contractors doing things the wrong way and if you dare to question them, what you get is ( that’s how we do it here)

I know how frustrating it is as a project engineer managing a project executed by our local contractors. Contractors deliberately refuse to follow engineering procedures in executing projects. See how the plumber just assumes the tank is high enough to provide the pressure head necessary to convey the water from the reservoir to the solar heater tank without doing any proper piping calculations. He is completely unaware that the pressure the water has when exiting the tank would be eating up by the various pressure drops due to pipe segments length, bends and elevation and a pump is necessary to compensate for this and deliver the water to the solar heater tank at the the correct pressure. Courage engineer. I love your channel. Enjoying it from Sweden

Precast coping blocks/ stones probably would work better on your parapet wall. You’ll have to ensure they’re throated at the bottom where it overhangs the walls - this will mitigate the much dreaded rain water stains both sides of the finished walls.

Thanks again another sleek presentation and demonstration of your passion with this project. Just wondering what the so called Real Estate developers and the technical institutions in the country woud be saying about your exposure of the paucity and the unavailability of certain essential current equipments especially in relation to safety/fire that should have been introduced into the system. The most signifcant in my view is the lack of drainage systems/guttering and harvesting of rain water even in communal development areas by Real Estate Developers.

Thanks for sharing. Is there a tank to hold the hot water or it would be fed directly from the heater powered by the solar panels to users? I would think the volumetric rate of water through the heater may affect the temperature at the user. Please put in a recirculation line or some type of control to stop the pump at hot water is not needed. Also, please ensure you have enough water head in the tank to avoid cavitation of the pump. Great video! With all the electrical safety issues you have covered, I know what type of conversation to have with my contractor on my next trip. Thanks 🙏🏿

Uncle Kingsley, are you pumping weights? Your Macho is scary paaaaa. On a serious note, does a Residual Current Devices (RCD) box serve the same purpose for early warning please?
@kingstal902 жыл бұрын
LOL RCD/RCBO - Is for protection against electric shock (protecting people and animals) AFDDs or AFCIs are for protection against fire There was a great fire in the uk 2 years ago called Grenfell (search for it)... They brought them out after this, even though the cause of the fire was not necessarily electrical, The electrical systems were criticised in the investigation.
@filmfreek352 жыл бұрын
@@kingstal90 thanks to you, there will be two considerations when I get to the electrics. It may seem like overkill but I am tempted to fly a specialist to take care of the electrical and plumbing requirements. On my last visit to Ghana, the hot water and cold water supply in the bathroom were swapped during the build. As you may know, the mass flow rate of the hot outlet is controlled by a valve. The hotter the temp, the slower the flow. My worry is attention to detail. like you said, they all want to finish quickly to move to another job because of cash flow.

I stand corrected then Can you share where to get them in Ghana? If you do, I will correct this and give out this information in my next video.
