So sorry to hear that the master craftsman that built this boat never got to sail her. Hopefully he's looking down and seeing others realise his dream. Live each day as your last....we never know when our time is up. Beautiful film that reflects the story so far of this epic build.

Ian Nicolson designed the boat, My Dad Howard Eborall built it, My Dad sadly died before she was finished therfore she came out of the building yesterday after being sold to a lovely man who is going to finish the project.

Farrellhunter, you need to be careful what you say, if you had looked further down the page you would of seen why this project wasn't finished. It wasn't off loaded to someone else, my husband passed away two years ago, I would appreciate if you keep your comments to yourself and not try to tell other people what they should or shouldn't be doing.

I would have loved to see you finish her, such an amazing accomplishment so far, "hats off"

beautiful build quality . to build a round bilge hull of that size is incredibly skilled work. Im sorry the builder died before he got to see it floating. The new owner has got an incredible boat. there is not another steel hulled boat of this size on the internet as pretty. it make the rough piece of work by SV Seeker look rather tatty (but to be fair he is building a work boat not a yacht).its lovely to see this quality of work in steel.cheers warren.

Well I didn't find out about the early passing of Mr Eborall until I had watched the video. Such a shame he wasn't able to finish Kotic. I'm no shipbuilder or engineer but he seemed to have done a good job getting her to the stage he did. I hope the new owner managed to complete her and perhaps Mr Eboralls family were able to see that.

great boat, good to see vision and determination to follow through with a project like this:) unfortunately there is always the likes of Farrelhunter who are armchair critics and never achieve anything in life and only mock what others are doing. BTW SV.Seeker is getting on with his project, despite the mockers et al.

This is directed at John Nelson, you must be the rudest person I have ever come across, everyone is entitled to there own opinion, but you over stepped the mark. Look further down, this project has now ended due to the passing of the builder, I suppose your another armchair critic, as some below are, so in future comment without being rude.

If the date is correct on the earlier snap shots then you've been at it since 1993 and unloaded it to become someone else headache a couple years or so ago, no were near to fit out stage. Its sad to see a dream turn sour but it inevitable if there is no realistic planned completion date. At least you saw the light and moved on unlike the Origami Boat Builder who's partner has departed finally see the light it will never be finished but he's still dreaming the dream...

+farrellhunter This is my Fathers boat. He built it single handedly (apart from the endless hours my Mum also put in). I have watched their dream grow from a full size plan drawn on the floor, to the work of art she is today. Heartbreakingly for all of us, my Dad passed suddenly. We watched years of dedication and perfection passed on to another dreamer. Please don't make assumptions, its hard enough to live with the reality as it is.

Using still pictures to illustrate a concept or idea is very outdated and extremely boring. Make real videos. Explain the procedures and conditions. We the people want to see these types of construction videos. Thanks
@sumofl9 жыл бұрын
John Nelson "Your compilation of years of toil towards a massive project was crappy and bored me. 'Me the people' demands your videos be to my standards!" If you paid attention to the time stamps you'd see this project was started back in 1993, old enough to be outdated by any modern standard of video. You don't get to decide how people make videos until you make them. Thanks.
