There's more track car builds on youtube than OEM+ ones. Besides it's harder and harder to find nice looking original E36 on the road so I would rather see it done this way.

Oem + for me. Upgrade brakes, engine etc. Keep the interior classy but have a bit of fun with it. Its your car it doesn't need to be 100% oem. Where you think you should come away then so it. Track cars are overdone imo and at least you will end up with a car that's easy to enjoy daily

You’ve got what looks like a fairly good body and structure so I’d go OEM+ look, that way I don’t think you be to out of pocket too much if you sold it in the end as long as you put the dedication in.

Both the back and squab of the driver and passenger seat leather on E36s can be swapped so you have the wear on the passenger side and an almost new driver seat. Can be done with regular and sports seats

Here's what I would do: BC Coilovers Recaro Polepositions in leather Bolt in rollcage No rear seats, but instead custom panels of sound deadening with fabric trim No LTW wing, it's over done Style 39 DS2 wheels or Style 42s OEM headlights with ambers MTech 2 steering wheel Born to Drift shifter Keep the do cards Don't flock the dash BDS tune LSD 330 Front brakes PolyBushed all round.

OEM+ for a car like thsi would be best, seen a lot of tuned up stripped out E36s and rarely come across orgiinal cars, this cars in fairly good condition think its worth keeping it OEM and then add a few modern touches to make it feel newer inside, new wheel, better infortainment etc, you could make it an OEM sleeper type thing where its tuned up but looks stock, would be cool
