Id love a decked out dual cab with a tricked out canopy but my 9k paj has got me everywhere I've wanted to go in comfort, love watching you guys with normal builds, normal problems, not sponsored 100k rigs where you get your parts flown into the next town
@j.b.struckinadventures49933 жыл бұрын
I like how you fellas understand that you’re not living in your rigs so you spend good money on the stuff you use often ( like lights and stereo) and you made do with the stuff you already have going in the back. No need to spend $10k on mods. You’re showing everyone how you don’t need a mortgage to go away for the weekend. Keep up the great work 👍🏻

Good work on the build. Not sure if you know but you can use the battery tray from a petrol 80 series for your second battery, they bolt up on factory holes on the drivers side of the engine bay. Super simple and not that dear to buy direct from Toyota.

Pajero to LC. Even without any mods is a huge step up in all round comfort and off-road ability. IMO you should put the parking/indicator lights in the front of the bullbar. Actually surprised it wasn't picked as a roadworthy item. Be careful that people can see your factory front indicators. Just my 2 cents worth. I like the build.
@dustyfarmer3 жыл бұрын
Re. The roadworthy issue's...It is being tested in Victoria remember.
@bogged2theeyeballs6953 жыл бұрын
@@dustyfarmer Yes i know. I'm from Victoria. The cut outs are there for a reason. Just like they are if you fit a rear bar. Yes, the stupidity of Australia is different laws for different states but ADR's covering indicators mean they must be at the very front of a vehicle without anything obstructing their view (including at an angle). If you don't believe me, then go and look it up. Personally, I couldn't give a shit what people do. I only made the point to try and be helpful because knowing what pricks insurance companies are, they will use any excuse not to pay out on a claim and that could be all they need. And no, it won't matter if it just passed a RWC or not !!

@AussieArvos3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, yeah definitely interested in some better standard lights!
@TimsBitsnPieces3 жыл бұрын
That's what I'm getting for mine soon, I've been looking at all the different types and brands for over 12 months now and the JTX 4x6 custom LED with white/yellow Halo, seems to be the better choice with price and quality and they are ADR approved which is a BIG plus to me.. I've got shitty HID's in mine now that the previous bloke had and still a candle is brighter.. haha..
@dustyfarmer3 жыл бұрын
@@TimsBitsnPieces There are NO aftermarket L.E.D conversion headlight globes that are A.D.R approved. If your vehicle didn't come out with with L.E.D headlights the headlight reflectors are not suited to them, L.E.D headlight conversions are poxed on for oncoming drivers at night. Why run the risk of a a defect notice, voiding your insurance & melting your reflectors. I looked into the A.D.R headlight upgrade issues extensively when I wanted to fit projector headlight conversions to my Landcruiser.
@TimsBitsnPieces3 жыл бұрын
@@dustyfarmer Go and have a look at the JTX website and I have talked to the owner re this exact thing. They ARE in fact ADR approved and it is a whole sealed unit. Not a filament or globe install. I have done a lot of research over the past 12 months about this.
@dustyfarmer3 жыл бұрын
@@TimsBitsnPieces If they are a whole sealed unit then maybe they did the engineering & testing to get approval. BUT!... They would still need to be mod plated by a certified engineer approved to do A.D.R mods to be road legal in each & every vehicle they were fitted to. All the people I approached including STEDI who were peddling these so called A.D.R approved L.E.D headlights or L.E.D bulbs were not A.D.R approved at all. I'll follow up on this JTX & get back to you ASAP.
