One of my pet peeves also is arranging the books with the pages out. How could anyone cover up all those beautiful covers. I also don't like when books are arranged with all the same colors together. This room has to be one of my favorites. Your little cottage is just adorable and you both should be very proud of the accomplishments you have made. I got so inspired by this video. The day you posted it I looked around my apartment and realized there were bookshelves in FOUR different rooms. So I started turning my spare room into a library. Today (2 months later) I finally finished it! It was slow going but I finally found the perfect chair in a thrift shop and then it all came together. "Trust the process." What a great affirmation. Your home is gorgeous! And your library is truly stunning! I've said this before, but your home looks like what you'd see in a magazine. I was also thinking how I've been enjoying your home renovation videos more than shows I watch on HGTV because there's an aesthetic that you create that those shows don't have. Like how you include all that beautiful scenery with music in the background. I especially loved where you were walking across the bridge with that pretty music. Gosh! You clever hardworking girls have just given me the inspiration to build our own library because in our shed is a massive stack of old floorboards. My girlfriend-soon-to-be wife agrees; what better than build our own home library? We have hundreds of books. One of my daughters is a master carpenter who will be delighted to build something terrific into a disused downstairs room. Your garden is reminiscent of a beautiful old cottage garden. Your roses are glorious - are they scented? Perhaps next summer you could grow runner beans, but placing tomato plants close the runners' roots to get nitrogen off their nodules. Your newly decorated home is simply wonderful, for a great deal of thought and hard work is paying off. Did I see a log burning stove? Outside we have a fire pit made out of a disused washing-machine drum. Not only does it belt out heat, but we can cook on it. I just thought a lamp could uplight your library's bookshelves, giving a cozy vibe. Your home is a place to love and to cherish, because love brings everything together.
