Hello my lovelies! It's Helen, and I have rebranded this channel to DOG GROOMING content and anything fur baby related! But don't worry! ALL my nail art and lashes videos can still be found on this channel under a playlist I created for you to be able to reference back to whenever you like!
It is my hope you'll still stay subscribed and enjoy my company and content even with the rebranding, as I absolutely loved having your presence on my channel! Hello my Lovelies!
Welcome back to my channel!!
As you all know, I've wanted to build my own nail desk for a while now, and I thought the best time to do this was when my salon was closed for the holidays.
What I had planned in my head, and what I ended Up with are two different things! There were a few hurdles along the way, but overall I think the end result is pretty nice! Be sure to let me know in the comments what you think of this video, and don't forget to subscribe to my channel!
This channel normally has videos related to nail art, acrylic nails, nail hauls, how to industry related procedures like using the e file, nail shaping, topics on lifting and how to prevent it and lots more. So if that's the sort of thing that interests you, then please hit that SUBSCRIBE button so you don't miss any of my videos.

A girl after my own heart! I so love making my own things or upcycling as it is now called. I was given an old wooden drop-down bureau with a glass-covered bookshelf below. I painted it black, halved the first shelf and turned it into a viv for my corn snake. I was really pleased with the outcome & you can't help to feel good about it when people compliment you & say I thought you brought it! Your nail desk is awesome. The herringbone design on top with the epoxy resin giving it a deep glass look shine was a great idea & you executed it really well. Job well done, Helen. Looking forward to next week when the NTNA starts. Rooting for ya girl xx

Thank you so much for you kind words! It truly is a great skill to have and shouldn't be limited to genders. I also grew up outside around my grandfather and father who were always tinkering with something in the garage and I absolutely loooved watching them. When I was old enough, I would sneak out and try a few things of my own😁 but my skills really expanded with the help of KZbin would you believe!? If I wanted to learn how to build something: KZbin. If I wanted to concrete something: KZbin and so on and so forth. I love watching April Wilkinson on KZbin. She's just awesome! My pets are my life, if I could have more, I most certainly would. Your desk looks amazing, well done Bob the builder... 🎖🔨🏆🔩🥇 It's always the way though, you set yourself a goal price or time limit and then it gets thrown out of the window...🙄... I know it's an after thought but if your desk top gets dimply again or scratched, go to a glazier, the glass you'd need for the size of your desk wont cost you very much, I know over here it would be about £25-£40... and you could have it tempered so no scratches either... What you made 'on your own' especially the herring bone pattern is pretty amazing, you should be soo proud of yourself... I'm looking forward to your next DIY video... "FIX IT with Black Swan!"... Have a great day my lovely... 💫🔩💛🔨💛🔩💫

To be honest, I was worried about the acetone too, and let me tell you that if it doesn't soak on the table, then the acetone won't affect the finish. I sometimes clean the surface of my tabletop with cotton wool and acetone and it still looks great! Thanks for watching my lovely ❤🥰

Im always happy to help out❤ Another thing I just thought of: why don't you epoxy a small sample of scrap wood, allow it cure properly, and attack it with acetone to see how you like the result? At least that way you can see how the brand of epoxy you're going to use will react, plus you get a little bit of practice in before you go ahead with your desk. Just a thought. Good luck with it though. I'm hoping you have better luck than what I did with my application 🤣 that was a bit of a disaster for me
