Stu Redman definitely, they make park look like the overpriced tat they are. I've a lot of Unior, then bits of cyclo, ice toolz, super b, Bahco, knipex and bitul from Poland (surprisingly good for the price,website in polish, but the pictures are great so you can see what you're buying)

@@Jamesthebikeguy Is it worth spending money on Pedro's tools? Is it much better than Bike Hand? I was looking at Pedro's Pro Socket Handle 2.0 which can be used with both 24 mm and 1 inch attachments. Is it worth spending money on Pedro's Pro Chain Whip? Will it be 3 better than Bike Hand's YC-501A?

Good choices, but I would upgrade your Allen keys.Park Tool ones are made by Bondhus which is the place to go

I agree, nicer allens are in order. Personally I would get Wera if I were buying nice ones. I have countless hours of time spent with Park Tools and I like them, but the design on the Wera hex is very helpful with soft alloy fasteners

The first and best thing to have is a set of long ball metric allen keys, from the best quality you can find (Pedro's are awesome). That's not the place to get cheapo.

Where would you use a long ball end on a bike? Not like you can torque using a ball and or remove so it's really a secondary, or a nice to have tool.

@@Jamesthebikeguy I disagree, long ball allen key is the most frequent daily tool for a bike. Final tightening is done only with a torque meter.

Nice tool kit! I have a combo of park tools and abbey bike tools. You need a hanger alignment tool tho.

1:27 Regarding the Allen keys you got: do American bikes use SAE and European bikes use Metric ? I'm deciding which type I need or should I get both ?

Quicklink pliers can be effectively replaced with a piece of steel cable which we usually throw away after servicing the RD

4:39 I actually found a breaker bar on a trail once, so I use that to remove cinch lock ring now, using exact tool you got there, much better than a short adjustable wrench. I like that this tool has a hole for the locking ball to get in to, this keeps it secure in a breaker bar or ratchet wrench.

For the Cinch lockring I just put the tool in a vice and use crank arm as the lever

7:34 these will scratch up the rim for sure, as it's not completely covered in plastic. I use Crank Brothers Speedier Lever, it's plastic but sure is durable.

a lot of tools you missed, brake caliper alignment tool, pick set, torque wrenches, short Hex keys for brake calipers or some rear dérailleurs, Rorx keys, long Hex keys, small ratchet with bits. If you'd have bought Unior tools,you get the brake pad press and disc rotor truing tool in one,and quality wise they make park tools look cheap and nasty and really overpriced. The pedros chain checker is far better than the park one,and you get a chain hook,and a chainring bolt tool as well,3 in 1 tool
