Building this harbor truthfully benefitted no one other than the corrupt developers, and other political and corporate capitalists...

Wow, when I recognized the walkways I walk on endlessly now, I started to tear up. How cool this video was!

Wonderful film. As a kid I remember the break water work. I should have paid more attention to it. The harbor is truly a Gem of Orange County and my Darling Sandee and I enjoy it often.

I surfed Killer Dana in the 60's before the harbor was built. Sad to see a classic So Cal surf spot removed. RIP

We lived in SJC along the Ortega Hwy and every rock in those jettys passed right by our house. Some rocks so big that only a couple could fit in the truck beds. Incalculable amounts tidepool sea life was lost to that construction FWIW.

Thanks for posting! Very special footage. Interesting to note everyone's feelings about the harbor... Some mourn the loss of the surf break, others the loss of a marine habitat. In the end we got something precious as well, the harbor. Myself, I can't really say if it's better or worse than before, just different.

Watching this makes me sad. This was all taken when everything was brand new and all the buildings were brand new.
