Hello Erin & Josh from a locked-down UK! Over the past few months, this channel has become essential viewing for me. The journey from early A-frame construction to these finishing touches has been truly wonderful to watch and enjoy. To follow you and your family build this incredible house, and your chosen lifestyle to complement it, is a real joy and inspiration to behold. The cinematography of Erin's camera work is breathtaking at times, as she paints a vivid tapestry of what West Virginia living is like across all four seasons, and all the elements within. It's so beautifully idyllic and genuinely aspirational - particularly compared to living in a big city like London! Josh's work ethic and attitude to address and find a solution to any building problem is also incredibly inspiring. I'm an avid DIY'er but this is next level! What a brilliant role model you must be for your children. What an example to set. Superb. I look forward to viewing more progress to come. Both the channels are essential viewing, and I for one can't wait to purchase a heap of Wild Wonderful Off-Grid merch! Keep the dream alive guys!

It is so easy once you move into a house you’re still building to stop entirely and get complacent. So good seeing you continue to work on it and finish buttoning up the little things.

It is soo nice to see the way you treat your kids and pets, but what I see is parents teaching their kids what being a Family is all about. Sharing hardships and successes together, with the key word being "together"! I am sure as you grow older, your kids will always have the deepest respect for you both (even when they know everything). You bring a smile to my face every week, thank you!

What you said about building a house and building memories is so true. I have built two houses and my family remembers the journey. They remember the first time in the sleeping in the new bedroom. They also remember putting handprints in the concrete. Twenty years later we will look at those handprints on the holidays. It is not an easy journey and you will make mistakes, but the end result is worth the effort. Thanks for taking us on your journey.

Well to date, as I see it, you have yourself one very identifiable DIY project that you must and should be proud of. Havng the skills or the avenue to find instruction to learn the skills required to do such a project have given you not only a home but a refuge that will stand for ever. And having the vids to confirm that it was you two (with help from children and animals) who did it your way. I feel for the visitor's who will not have to suffer thru your vacation vids and photos but the 212 chapters of how We built our home may reduce their dropping by for some time. In all honesty, outstanding work. Years back in the late 60s my dad and I worked on finishing the cottage he and mon bought. It was a labour of true love and once we finished it a haven from the city. Thanks for the memories and looking forward to your remaining jobs you have instore . Being retired and having family thousand of kilometers away has brought me to You Tube and your channel is one of the best . Keep it up and helping me stay nominally sane Joel

Been watching this channel and build for over a year now and the feelings I have after watching the latest upload are something that are native to me. I never thought one family could embody a value system of such grit, love, and determination. You two have exemplified the value of letting go of petty wants, superficial social distractions, and narrowed life down to what matters in the purest sense. As I watch you reach this mile stone I can say no couple probably deserves what you have more and with each episode have given me more and more a sense of determination to reach my own personal life goals and stay focused to to what really matters in this world of craziness. I look forward to watching you two continue on your journey and enjoy your well earned home and beautiful family. CONGRATS!!!
