Building our first Sukkah for our first Sukkot (The Feast of Tabernacles) in Caura,Trinidad (2023).

Sukkot! One of the most cheerful festivals in Judaism, commemorates the 40 years that the Jews spent in the desert after they escaped slavery as well as the gathering of the fall harvest. 2023 marks our very first celebration in Caura, Trinidad. It was new to us and we all tried to learn as much as we could have before attempting to build our Sukkah (hut). At first, I felt a bit unsure as to how I should approach the construction of our hut, but, miraculously, the most difficult part was already done for us. The frame from a past venture stood sturdily beckoning the girls and I to take a leap of faith towards the promise of an amazingly divine experience. There were no regrets, there was an abundance of laughter, contentment and joy which intensified an ongoing sense of anticipation for next year's Sukkot. Come with us. Chag Sameach!

I was so Blessed by this Video and I must say that Trinidad and Tobago is one of the very few places that no matter what's taking place in the Middle East in terms of war or Christian,Jewish,Muslim, Hindu etc are living peacefully and are not being swayed to think evil of one another.
