Will this not contaminate the water from the bore hole since it's floor and sides are porous

its far from the well. It is always not recommended to have the septic tank near a borehole or well

The presence of columns doesn't necessarily equate bad work, as it is not compulsory in all conditions, there are factors to consider (depth, soil conditions, incoming loads on the soakaway/septic tank)
