What you and your wife and the whole team around you two have built up in the past couple of years is incredible. You are on of the most professionally seeming companies inside the youtube space and you really shouldn't listen to random comments about high turnover rates at LMG or bad pay or random nonsense. Adress those things, if you come across them, but don't let them get to you. You guys are amazing at what you do and you are getting better and better. When Linus was talking about his company decisions, it irks me too. Here's a guy whos funnelled his earnings into making everything better and building a company off the back of it. He invests in not only his own future, but the company he's built. Other people. Out of all of the tech-tubers, he's really stepped forward and gone about it in a much larger scoped operation and done well from it.

It's hard to judge either way exactly without more information, but I'd also lean towards he being a fairly good owner. One guy in the chat was criticizing a 25 percent turnover, but that is excellent within the space LMG is in. People who have little business sense like to judge it seems.

It's amazing how far we got in just three years. 2017, the desktop Ryzen was contesting HEDT with just eight cores, and beating even the Intel 10-core in some workloads. Fast forward three years and there is a 64-core beast as a workstation CPU, costing a whole lot. But comparing to 2017, you get better IPC, smaller node, higher clocks ... and more than double the cores. It is almost an oxymoron that ThreadRipper is very expensive and yet very cost-efficient at the same time :D

This is pretty much my Rig, but I only use it for light gaming, streaming, and the occasional blender render, XD. The big difficulty is getting rid of all the heat, It doubles as a space heater all year round. I got the board on sale, and being a LTT fan I just had to complete the build. With regards to pcie lanes: Usually the first pcie slot is connected directly to the cpu, while the lower ones go through the chipset (which is itself connected by 4x pcie4 to the cpu). The chipset however also handles most USB ports and potentially secondary m.2. So if you saturate the chipset's bandwidth, you'd run into latency issues.

Cellulose R49 is the min for unfinished attic insulation. You could use Fiberglass if you are worried about the weight. Both are open blow. Before that install takes place. You need to Seal all Bypasses. These are places that leak air into or out of the Thermal boundary of your home. You want the air barrier and thermal boundary to be in the same area and touching. A Blower Door is a great piece of equipment to find these bypass leaks and also the square inch size of them in each area. Unfinished attics should be around 0 to -5 pascals. Meaning no to little air transfer. You will also want to install wind blocks and rafter shoots since you have Vented soffit. I would also Dense pack the walls. If they are not already. This adds R value and an air barrier, if its installed correctly.... 3.5lbs per SqFt for Cellulose.

3 hour live stream to build a computer, and you never stopped talking for 10 solid seconds. I, meanwhile, took 4.5 hours to build mine while fully focused on the task. Kuddos for being able to be entertaining at the same time you do this, and still get great results.

for the AC minisplits: Sometimes it also makes sense to use three small exterior units, depending on where the interior units are. 1. The small units are sometimes much cheaper than larger ones, 2. Sometimes you can get away with much shorter coolant lines, 3. If there is a problem with an exterior unit, you still have the other ones working. This stuff always fails when you least need it. You will be happy if not all your AC fails at the same time ;-)

There's a lot of comments here, but did anyone point out that the really long bit on that "multi-bit screwdriver" is a torx bit? I'm pretty sure that's for the threadripper socket because the length of it acts like a torque stick for putting wheel lug nuts on with an impact gun, the length is designed to twist (not visually), so you don't over tighten.

Pull the tape to you, not away from you and keep it at a low angle will minimize the glue staying on the part. If the tape is brittle or not elastic enough your screwed.
