All hail from Kiwi land , we once had a tender with sealed buoyancy cavity seats , which leaked, so we drilled a couple of wide holes and poured in a carefully calculated amount of expanding foam ! and blew the seat top . What you might call a disaster. Love you show :-)

I would love one of these Eastport Prams. Wish I had the skill to build the kit but I know myself, I'd probably over sand and over cut somewhere.

The instruction manual was very comprehensive - you should give it a go! A really fun project.

Good job with planing the mast. I would of subbed that out to someone with a lathe.

Great video as usual. Are you doing a video of your Panama Canal crossing? Where is your next planned stop in the Pacific? Stay safe!

Hopefully you've seen our canal crossing by now?

Great job. Thinking of building one. Realistically are you able to sail her with two aboard? Thanks.

Yep we definitely can. It’s a bit squishy but we can both fit

Hey Team, that was a seriously cool video. We are a Kiwi family in Thailand who've just bought a 32ft Beneteau of pretty much the same vintage as yours and have been loving your videos, keep it up. Although you've cost us now... as we simply had to buy a Torqueedo once we saw yours, and how few rowing shots you've done since ha ha. Kia Kaha and fair winds with a following sea.
@sailingbacchushome9444 жыл бұрын
Fantastic! Yeah we love the Torqeedo, but I’m going to try remember to row more often. Have fun on your new boat!

Did the rope fender work out okay? I've just finished building and need to attach some kind of fender round mine.

How long please did it take to build and total man hours seeing you had assistance. Am thinking of building this myself, thks
@sailingbacchushome9442 жыл бұрын
It took us 16 days by memory with most of those days all 4 of us working on the boat. Towards the end at the painting stage you have to wait for the paint to dry before you can start the next bit so those weren’t full days.

It's so lovely, I would appreciate you if you could please tell me where I can order the whole thing online, I am actually based in Dubai, and I am not able to find it here.

We purchased the dinghy as a kitset in the UK - the European distributor for CLC is a company called Fyne Boat Kits. They're based in Cumbria. If you prefer to do the whole process yourself, you can buy the plans on their own. www.clcboats.com www.fyneboatkits.co.uk

Can you use a small motor with the pram ?
@sailingbacchushome9444 жыл бұрын
You can - we have a 4hp electric outboard for those days when we’re anchored waaay out the back :)

I'm sorry , but there is something inherently wrong with sawing a boat you have just built in half . However , i'm quite taken with this little thing , i must say . I was looking at a scamp folding boat , but i'm gonna take a closer look at this one first . Very nice job well done !

Cutting in half my nesting pram was also the scariest part of the process, I wish I thought of the trick with the long drill!
