Loved this video, it's so timely for me! I got my Merch account back in 2018, I'm at tier 500 but I've really never used it as I was focusing on KDP. Now that I have KDP chugging along I've turned my sights to Merch this year and have been steadily trying to build up my account, only 70 of 500 slots filled but I've been searching for videos on Merch specifically so I'm really happy you're doing this and will now add Merch your line of videos for us to watch :)

Great video, thanks! I've heard conflicting advice on how often to create listings on Etsy. Some recommend adding many listings quickly to boost your shop, while others advise posting only one listing per day. In your experience, what's your preferred approach for creating listings on Etsy?

I just add listings when I feel I have something of value to add and am feeling inspired 🤷‍♀️ I don’t create just for the sake of creating and I also don’t worry about a certain number.

@@TaylorPOD Awesome yes, you right, I don't think there is a constraint in terms of number of new listing and how it affect the shop. I heard Etsy algorithm do not like it. Thank you. Awesome channel, I am learning a lot on it.

Is there a difference between a normal Amazon seller account and "Amazon Merch"? I applied a couple years ago and there was a video interview but they accepted me and I had no prior experience.. I didn't use the account at all.

I brought designs that I've already had success with on Etsy to Amazon so the designs I have uploaded already have some 'proof of concept' in a sense.

I have applied for Amazon merch 4 times, i only have 121 sales on etsy and I am Mexican... I have applied without showing my etsy store because there are very little sales ... but I will keep trying

Maybe you should consider applying with your store, even if you don't have sales. Cause at least you will have something to show that you have design experience and that could help you to get accepted.

Thanks for the video, I've had my merch account for about 7 years now and I worked at it a lot in the beginning and then sadly I stopped and did other things. Its continued to make a few dollars over the years with out me even working at it. I have a renewed interest and just started working at it again and like you hope to make it a great year! Your lucky that you have been doing designs on Esty, I am just starting on Esty. Looking forward to more content.

One question that sounds like more 😂 What did you show Amazon to prove that you can design products that will sell? Did you apply with a portfolio? How many designs were in it? Did you show your Etsy stores or other stores? These are quite important for people trying to get into Amazon Merch.

I didn't share my specific Etsy shop but I applied with my LLC as opposed to applying as an individual and in my application I shared my revenue numbers and the timeframe I achieved them. Of course, I have no idea if this made a difference but just my experience. :)

Yes, I think that's what she meant. I've seen others doing that to show they have design experience and it may help with the application.

Any designs an individual creates are protected by copyright laws. Whatever you create is your own intellectual property. It is never okay to copy.

Amazon does not say why an account was rejected so there really is no way of knowing unfortunately.
