I came across this while trying to figure out why my induction charging was so touchy on my hobby project. The ferric material was an absolute game changer in regards to charging speed and placement.

I built a lawnmower that uses wireless charging, I find it it was better to resist the elements, now I am building a GPS tracker dog collar, and I want it to be wirelessly charged so I don't have to open it to charge it to keep it weather resistant.

The dog bed has a giant induction coil rimmed around the edges under the foam lol.

Hi Kenneth, I am looking for such a solution for my sensor network. I want to power a 100 ma Particle sensor (and some other greedy sensors) outside my house for sensing the air. If the air is ok ventilation is possible. So i need a constant monitoring device and using a battery pack is not an ideal option because of the greedy power consumption. A wire to the outside is also not really feasible, and I want to make a wireless power connection though my window. The window is double glass and effeciency is not an issue to me, as long as it works. Do you think these modules can work through double glass windows?

Do you know if it matters if I use a receiver module or transmitter module for the project receiving the power?

I'm planning a project for mini humanoid robot that I want it to self charge. My plan after watching this is one on each foot for a chair or pedistal changing station

Your analysis is always good. Wireless charging is a challenge for phone (or any device). You have to avoid and metal parts or circuit loops from resonating, even to a Harmonic of the Tx Frequency. It's inefficient, but consumers always want convenience and bizarrely the Physics is irrelevant to most. There's bound to be a trigger from some noob with a reference to Nicola Tesla here. I'm rolling my eyes even before they type anything!
