Idc what anyone says, the Viper was wayyy before its time and still to this day in 2022 one of the coolest car ever built. 😎

You have done a very nice job on this kit. I just finished the AMT/Ertl Viper R/T 10 kit and it has quite a bit more detail than this particular kit. The AMT version has seperate suspension and drive line components and was a nice build. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a challenging kit.

Revell kits are hit or miss with the molding, prefer AMT most of the time, the AMT Supra is a decent one. Quite a bit of flash to trim tho, but it's a solid kit

Is it optional to use the super clear paint?, can i also use tamiya clear?
@ModelCarMods2 жыл бұрын
You have to spray clear coat to protect the paint and to make the body shiny. Yes you can use Tamiya clear coat, I just prefer Mr.hobby clear coat👍

I love watching your process and it inspires me to put the same attention to detail into my kits. May I ask what the purpose of spraying Duplicolor, then Tamiya Fine primers? Was it to simply be able to see your white primer over white?
@ModelCarMods2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the compliments! It's better to use different color primers because when you're wet sanding, you can see how deep you are sanding when the dark primer underneath shows up. I like using Dupli-Color primers because they are very thin and sticks to the body really well so it's very good base primer. Tamiya primer is bit thicker which is good for wet sanding👍

Wow beautiful build!!! Just getting into the hobby and hope to get to this level one day. Quick question (s). What thinning ratio do you use for airbrushing tamiya paints and I noticed you using different types of glues. Is it all trial and error when to use a different type of glue (epoxy, superglue, cement)?
@ModelCarMods2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliments! I usually do 50:50 ratio paint : thinner, and adjust thinner as i spraying. For the glues, i recommend the ones i use on this videos, and yes it will take some trial errors so always try it on the spare parts first and see how it sticks🙂
@MrBowlingjt3002 жыл бұрын
@@ModelCarMods thanks so much for the reply! One last question I have is what model/brand spray booth are you using? Been looking for one but they all say not intended for use with flammable paints etc.
@nismojukerich2994 Жыл бұрын
@@MrBowlingjt300 they are all basically like that. Basically because explosion proof fans are extremely pricey and without one there is an, albeit small, risk that if the wiring is not enclosed or spark proof and the fans blades and housing are metal and they happen to contact they could cause a spark igniting the solvent vapor buildup in the exhaust duct. You can get one of those cheaper spray booths and add a second fan with a good cfm rating into the duct and that will reduce the risk even further just for the peace of mind as it won't allow the vapor to just sit still in the duct if the spray booth doesn't have a powerful enough exhaust fan to push it out. You can use solvent based paint just be cautious.
