Robben is such a gracious person. Back in the Blue Line days, saw him consecutive nights/days at outdoor festivals. The whole band, sound guys, roadies were all approachable. Got the best seat at the board the second day as they remembered me. I've never been remembered by a short visit with a band before. A highlight of my musical journey. Beautiful work Dan. Gotta be special to rub shoulders with as much talent as you do.

my favourite tip for mounting a wah on a pedal board - put the no longer used rubber feet inside the wah pedal where the battery would go. That way you never loose them, and you'll know where they are should you ever want to take it off the board and refit them.

To Robben: highly recommend the trem arm spring that goes in between the block and the arm. It allows the arm to stay where you put it while still being completely movable. Prevents having to search for the arm mid-play. Game changer for me anyway. It's a Hank Marvin essential too. He knows a thing or two about use of the Strat trem ;)

With cables getting reversed, I used to do that loads then I switched to the Evidence Audio solderless plugs. I use the silver ones for pedal input and black ones for pedal output. I also like the boost after the gain pedals, I use it for more volume on the solos. I am considering changing the boost for an EQ, any thoughts on that change would be greatly apreciated. On my board I have the gain before the Delay, but I am sure that Ford has his reasons for putting it after.

If I understand correctly, with the QMX-6, each switch effectively engages a loop. A loop consists of 1 or Many pedals. Am I right? I like your signal path diagram, but do you also do a physical diagram to show which pedals are activated by which QMX switches?

Hi Dan, really liked this video on your work on Robben's latest touring-board ... great, no compromise work and Robben was righteously happy with the result ! Here comes a question about pedals & jacks: On one of your former videos (about 5 years ago) you were promoting solderless cables & jacks. I also use (George L) solderless cables & jacks for many years now on my big (touring) board ... mainly, because I liked the idea to being able to repair anything quickly when on the road (or if problems arise shortly before a gig). But I did have some issues over the years and now that I see you using soldered connections on this high profile board, I'm just curious to know, why you seem to have changed and in particular: Which cable and jacks are you using here ? A short answer would be highly appreciated. Keep up the great work and a HAPPY NEW 2025 for you guys 🙏🏼☺ Best regards, Roland 🎸

Hopefully a helpful suggestion Dan. It really stressed me out seeing you using metal scissor blades to lever off the pedals because they are almost guaranteed to chip paint off the pedal and damage the board itself. A much better solution is to use hard nylon car trim panel removal tools, a varied set of which can be purchased for a few quid from Amazon etc. Because the kits include different sizes and shapes of levers, you are guaranteed to find the right one, even for tight spaces between pedals🤘🏻 Btw I hate any form of Velcro or tape fixing methods, and am really getting good results from a bracket fixing system🎸
