Hi there, at min 6:39 15% is assumed instead of the real 9.4%... . I dont get the reason for that, why? Anyone knows? Thank you! even 12" on center is 1.5/12=12.5"% and for 24 on center even less than the 16% on center..

The 9.4% only accounts for standard studs, it doesn't take into account for base plate, jack and king studs around windows and doors, and headers, so depending on stud spacing and amount of windows it could easily be 15-25%

Thanks for the great video! How can I calculate the U value if I have steel studs instead? I am asking because the steel styds have a different shape like the letter H or similar. Thanks in advance?
