Awesome how you showed the assembly of that laser cutter machine. I’m not a model builder, but I enjoy watching people build models. I can’t believe how good some are at kits off the shelf. Museum pieces. I know you do that too. I’m just saying like you see somebody build this 5 foot long aircraft carrier with lighting and all detailed everything. It must take them a year at least.

If you eventually do the nuclear power plant (an obvious choice), in every establishing shot in the series, a crow makes a quick caw sound. Without the option for such an audio cue in a diorama, place a crow on the lip of the tower to visually replicate that gag. :^)

Hi Elle! I've been watching your content for years to help me fall asleep. I know everyone's favorites are the waterfall dioramas but I have to admit my favorite is the gold mine, it's so unique! lol, yeah I threw those trans colours in to kind of hit at my transition and just to see how the viewers who watch my channel react. It got a very mixed response and there was quite a bit of transphobia in the comments initially! Thankfully the most transphobic people unsubscribed which was what I wanted. I hope to purge those types of people, there's just no need for it and we can do so much better as a society! It's nice to see a fellow trans person who has been a subscriber for so long 🥰 Thank you so much, I'm very excited to continue growing as a transgender person, since coming out I'm less stressed, less anxious and sleep better. Although it's not a cure for those things it certainly helps when you can be and act your genuine self in public 😊

Elle, I'm so happy for you! I've been watching and recommending your videos for years now, you even gave me enough energy to re-try some old model kits I had laying around for the better part of a decade- and ended up liking it so much I started making appropriate ones as gifts! The scenery tutorials encouraged my to try some basic dioramas for some of aforementioned models- but wow that was another step into the unknown. And speaking of steps into the unknown, on a personal note I too had my epiphany earlier this year and also started my transition as well. It's so comforting to see another trans sister keeping her hobbies in full force while finding her new happy! Keep going and good fortune in all aspects!

Thanks mate, I've normally just tried to get measurements from photos by using something in the image that has a standard height and width, like a front door for example. It should work ok using google as long as there is something like a door or even a person standing in front?

what grey green paint do you use? I'm trying to read the bottle. I think in the past you used other colors for cement too. I'm building a large concrete service pad. aka Southwest Arizona. Needs to look sun bleached and dirty. Thinking a combination of light grey and or blue grey with light tan powders to look like dust and or dirt ground into the pad. Thanks.

Excellent work! I'd really like to have something like this and Moe's Tavern but in 1/24 scale because automotive dioramas are rather appealing to me and that's what I'd like to build. What are the dimensions of the "actual" buildings so I can convert the measurements to 1/24? I will have to scratchbuild the structures old school style, don't have a laser cutter.

I don't have them of the top of my head, the dimensions were just a guess in the first place, I kinda drew it to HO scale and made iterations until it looked somewhat accurate 😉

An entire model of Springfield would fill my garage and then some 😅 I'd probably say plywood, it's just a bit easier to manage and glue together, it sands better and is a bit more forgiving. The down side to wood is the grainy texture but with some paint filler it's easy enough to get nice and smooth. On the other hand acrylic is much less likely to warp but doesn't sand as easily and is more expensive.

In fairness, the first 10 seasons of The Simpson's are timeless. The worry shouldn't be in getting old and feeling nostalgic, it's that current generations aren't properly given a chance to make this a part of their lives as it was ours. There are more, and better, jokes in your average 30s Simpson's clip than in an entire month of current programming.
